Have you ever imagined how that universe would be? It is highly implied in Rosa's stories
that, in that case, Scrooge would have been content with being a plain millionaire and
settled somewhere at Yukon. What would have happened to the other characters?
-Donald, Della and the nephews would have obviously never been born. What about
Hortense and Quackmore? Would they have married different persons? I have a feeling
they're both so short tempered that no mate would have been able to tolerate them,
so they would have both remained single for their whole lives.
-Gladstone would have still been born. What would he have done? Considering Duckburg
would have remained a small village, would he have settled there? I don't think the
luckiest duck in the world would be satisfied with such a place. Is it possible he'd have
moved to a bigger city?
-Would Gyro have been as successful an inventor if he lived in a village? Would he have
moved too?
-Which tycoon would Magica have gone after? Obviously, Glomgold. Of course, considering
he's not as emotional as Scrooge, he would have no problem giving her a dime, so is it
possible Magica's plan would have succeeded? On the other hand, in Don Rosa's 'A little
something special', we see a panel where it turns out Glomgold values his first coin as
much as Scrooge values his first dime, which indicates he might have refused to give it
just like Scrooge did in the normal universe. But that panel might as well be just a gag.
-As for Beagle Boys, well, they'd have kept terrorizing the small village Duckburg would
still be.
However, i have another theory. Is it possible that, even if Scrooge had got with Goldie,
he'd have decided to keep pursuing his dream anyway and done the same stuff (moving
to Duckburg, built money bin etc) with Goldie by his side?
In that case, maybe Goldie's presence would have prevented him from burning that
african village in the eleventh chapter. That might also mean that he'd have become the
richest duck later, since he'd have missed at least a few million dollars' worth of profit.
If he had acted the same way, burning that village despite Goldie being there, would his
wife have ever forgiven him?
Would Scrooge and Goldie have remained in love? Or would they have ended up as a typical
elderly couple, arguing for minor stuff all the time?
Lastly, if you want to accept Brigitta into Barkses/Rosa's canonicity, would she have still
gone after Scrooge despite him being married? How would Goldie have reacted?
