Alright, I would like to know for what alien reason IDW, when publishing a story made by American artists for Europe and Brazil back in the days, hires a translator/rescripter like they would for a regular foreign stories. Don't those stories already have an English script? Have the original writers' English scripts been lost at some point, or what?
I'm also wondering why they published some stories that were orignally written by an American writer, but instead of original english script, they used a different english script that was translated from another language. There are many american stories that were made by Disney Studio but most of these stories were not published on the American Disney magazines. Some of these artists are the same artists who also worked at Western like Paul Murry, Jack Bradbury, Al Hubbard etc. I wonder which Studio stories were published with different english scripts instead of original scripts on American Magazines? I know that some of them were published with the original english scripts like the Fethry's debut story: coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=S+64008 .
Don't [S-coded] stories already have an English script? Have the original writers' English scripts been lost at some point, or what?
In quite a few cases, they were—a large number of the S-codes' original English scripts seem to have been lost about twenty years ago. In those cases, we have to treat the stories like regular foreign stories, and translate back from a foreign original. (This also answers Nectaria's question.)

Thanks for answering me, David. So, most of these original english scripts for S-coded stories had been lost and never found? What about the english version of The Molasses Well that was published on Walt Disney's Comics and Stories 691? Was the english script of this Brer Rabbit story an english translation of another language (If yes, then from which language was the english version translated from?) or it was the same as the original english script?

The English script for "The Molasses Well" hadn't survived, so I translated it back to English from Danish.

OK, Thanks for your confirmation. So the english version of The Molasses Well that was published on WDC&S 691 was an english translation of the danish translation. It's too bad that the original english script hadn't survived because I would love to see what the original english dialogues were like.
