With volume 10 of Fantagraphics' Don Rosa Library scheduled for October, the series is about to end. But it looks like Fantagraphics have planned another Don Rosa series starting right after, titled "The Complete Life And Times of Uncle Scrooge".
The Complete Life And Times Of Uncle Scrooge Volume 1 Hardcover – February 26, 2019 by Don Rosa (Author)
The fan-favorite Scrooge McDuck life story as it’s never been told before ― in chronological order! From his shoe-shining boyhood in Scotland to his treasure-hoarding adulthood in Duckburg, Uncle Scrooge McDuck has lived a life of legend ― a legend founded by Scrooge’s creator Carl Barks and carried to new heights in Don Rosa’s signature storyline, "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck!" But never before has Rosa’s epic ― originally told in twelve Eisner Award–winning chapters plus a wealth of "companion" follow-ups ― been fully assembled in the precise timeline of the events they tell! Now join Scrooge, Donald Duck, the Beagle Boys, Flintheart Glomgold, and more for the first-ever complete and chronological Scrooge McDuck biography! Full-color illustrations throughout.
Well, that's a pretty good idea. Although, I wonder how they're going to split the stories between the volumes. According to Amazon, it'll be 248 pages, and is "Volume One". However, the entirety of the L&T should be 365 pages if they include the "History of the Clan McDuck", and 358 if not, meaning that a second volume would have to be either 117 or 110 pages, significantly less than the first volume.

I think they will include a lot of extras evenly spread across the volumes. If all the stories make up about 370 pages there is not a big problem to find extras such as covers, art, background info by Rosa for each story, notes of Barks' references and so on to fill another 100 pages.

Great news! I have long hoped that there would someday be an edition of the L&T which would put all the chapters in chronological order, so you wouldn't have to go back and forth between two books when you re-read them. And that's if you're lucky enough (as I am) to have the two books! Hard to find affordable copies if you don't.
This sounds like it will be a nice book, however I would prefer the whole L&T stories to be produced in 1 book....WITHOUT the extra's. We don't need all the extra's again.
If they go with what Egmont did in China, 248 pages for volume 1 would be just enough. Chinese edition of the companion includes Last sled to Dawson, Dream of a Lifetime and A Letter from Home, which makes it 248 pages in total. Despite that proofreading was terribly done, I do like what did by adding more stories.
It does seem redundant, unless Fantagraphics isn’t keeping the entire Don Rosa Library in print. But they did similarly redundant books with Peanuts and even those half-page sized Barks reprint paperbacks.
The final title will be "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" and despite the official description, the chapters will NOT be presented in completely chronological order. Instead, as usual, volume 1 will feature the main chapters and volume 2 will feature the bonus chapters. Source: Rosa's official facebook fan page.
As for these books being redundant, they are intended for casual fans, not for people who already own all volumes of the Don Rosa Library.

Oh, drat. I wonder whose decision that was, and why they made it. I'd been hoping for a publication which would put all the stories in historically chronological order.
Maybe Rosa himself thinks of the original series as one long coherent story and doesn't want it interrupted by the bonus chapters?
Anyway, I think it's worth it to republish just the L&T, since it's currently prohibitively expensive to buy that set of stories in English in any existing form. For someone who doesn't buy the entire Don Rosa Library, this will make the L&T accessible/affordable.

I doubt it: the French printing of the Don Rosa Library (overseen by Rosa) has them in historical order.
No, the first volume of the French library only contains the original chapters. The second volume contains the so-called chapters B and C. In Italy they did the same a couple of years ago, in that case too with the approval of Rosa.
(I own a previous Italian version from 2003 with the chapters all together as a long coherent story, in the sense wished by Matilda, and that is the one I read in those days. But I find this reading too dispersive, if I will ever re-read it I will go with the main chapter first.)
