Didn't they change the lyrics? I'm more surprised to find the phrase "three gay caballeros" kicking around on Twitter in 2021!
DisneyTVA is a fan channel. It's been trouble repeatedly in the past because they post like they're an official channel up to making fan logos that look official or posting fan news in official-sounding ways, but it's a fan account. It's why there's people convinced there's a confirmed Oswald cartoon with logo and everything that's just not been out yet, as opposed to "a couple people talked about there being some sort of Oswald project".
Still remember how Angones talked about the show and how it was a problem it had a human (goddess) in it.
Makes you realize how little Angones actually knew of the comics.
From what I remember, he also didn't know very much about the production of the "Three Caballeros" TV show. Certainly much less than he was coming across as.
It shows he's not aware of how the original film happened more than anything since it had humans in it. Anyway, it's interesting that between said talk and how DT17 had humans appear through magic then be treated as horrible creatures there's this hint that it's impossible for anthropomorphic animals and humans to be together in one world and it not being a big deal.

Yeah, kinda funny considering Carl Barks himself used actual humans in some of his best comic book stories from the early 50s.
A big difference is that Barks' usage of humans still had a contrast between them and the duck/animals, but they were still treated as parts of the world. It helps that apparently Barks wanted to include humans but was told not to (hence the dogfaces).
I saw a clip of this show. Man, if the DuckTales reboot looked like this, rather than the (IMO bizarre) animation style they chose instead, I would have been more OK with it.
Well, actually, I wouldn't have cared what style of animation they used if instead of a reboot, they used the same continuity and just fast-forwarded a year or something.
I'd love to see a "continuity cross-over" much like Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go where they meet each other, and perhaps go on some adventure together.
Thank you for posting this podcast. Very interesting stuff!
Matt Danner expiriance of watching "Three Caballeros" remind me watching "Dance of the Hours" from "Fantasia". I had no clue what's going on but I was fascinating and felt like I'm expirancing something BIG and important. It felt grand.
Interesting they could use Humphrey the Bear, but coudn't use the name.
Glad to hear that Disney is aware that the show got positive reactions and there are still some intrest in making more seasons. I can imainge that they woudn't have that much problem jumping back into production the moment Disney green lights it, as I'm sure a lot of stuff like concepts, some scritps (Matt talks that they plan-out few seaons) are already ready. Good to be optimistic.
Know as Maciej Kur, Mr. M., Maik, Maiki, Pan, Pan Miluś and many other names.

I'd love to see another season too, but... isn't that basically what Danner has said for several years? Disney is aware of the positive feedback, and they are maybe/possibly/sort of looking into doing something more. It's hard for me to look at such a statement as news, honestly. :/
