The story that the two actually wrote together from page one is Topolino e il dottor Tick-Tock, based on a plot idea conceived by Faccini years before. This one is really and purposely developed in the strip style of the Walsh era, like the first Scarpa used to do.
Something's wrong with the link there. It points nowhere.
Anyway, I actually like "infodump"-type stories, if the worldbuilding is interesting; and discussions of Atlantis and the Horde of the Violet Hare do not bore me. The exposition isn't the flaw of Casty for me; I'd agree that it's the manicheism.
Ooh, I love Jonathan's cover for U$ 36 "Treasure above the Clouds"! Look at those Peruvian Woodchucks! Nice how they were able to move the little square Disney comics logo so it wouldn't throw off the design.
it looks like Freccero, not Gray.
EDIT: oops, someone already said it, sorry.
I can ask Jonathan on twitter to be sure but that does look like his work.
Ah well, I was just going on the earlier cover prediction. Regardless of who drew it, the fact remains that I like it a lot! The main point of my post was not "I love Jonathan's art" (though I do!), but "I love this particular cover." Add it to the growing list of Freccero's covers I've put on my personal favorites list thanks to IDW Disney: Donald Quest 1B, the bad-luck trophy, the Rosa-esque cover for The Orphan's Christmas.

I like the cover for The Orphans Christmas as well! That's around the time when I just returned to Duckverse fandom. If I am not mistaken that's the first IDW issue I bought (online).
PreviewsWorld has Donald and Mickey #3, Tangled #3 and Walt Disney's Comics & Stories #742 listed for next week. Duck Avenger New Adventures Vol. 3, DuckTales #10, Uncle Scrooge #36 and Walt Disney Showcase #3 are listed for the 11th. DuckTales #11 and Donald and Mickey #4 were pushed back to August 8th. I think that catches everything up for now.
Edit: Disney Masters Vol. 3 is scheduled for next week as well.

According to the online comics shops, Donald and Mickey #3 was released this week. It is available to order as an in-stock item. Can anyone confirm?
Also, does anyone know if the Barks cover for Uncle Scrooge #34 (Cover B) was a low-print run? It is not available for purchase anywhere, and went "out of stock" the day it was released (which was several weeks after the main cover was released), which is very unusual for a non-incentive cover.
EDIT: Okay, the release date for Donald and Mickey #3 is still listed as July 4th, but certain online stores have it as available for purchase (not pre-order) now. Strange. Probably an error.

Some people selling it for ridiculous prices on eBay claim it has a low print run, but I'm also wondering if this is true or if everyone just think so. But I haven't seen it listed in stock on any of the online comic shops I now use when not able to order from my local comic shop anymore (still no distribution of IDW comics to Europe). I wanted this cover variant but haven't been able to get a copy yet (and I don't want to pay $20+ and international shipping for it...)
