As some of you know, I have Disney comics reviews blog, on which I just posted a new review (of the 1982 The Inner-Earth Adventure). Go read it and comment, please!
Huh, why doesn't GeoX post his reviews here?… This is a forum, a place to talk about things. Solo discussions like a story review are best left on their own blogs, I believe. Though I suppose if others like you want me to post it here too, I guess I could.
So then why did you just write two sentences linking to your blog and telling us to post comments there?
This forum needs a rule on single line thread openings. It's starting to become a big problem here.
I did not necessarily say I wanted you to comment there, I said I wanted you to comment, but it could very well be on this very thread. On the blog, I made various observations about a subject directly related to the theme of this forum, about which some people here might want to express opinions. Ergo, this thread provided an opportunity for discussing Disney comics, which is exactly what the blog is about. I'd argue it isn't at all like whatever's own single-line thread openings, which are most of the time irrelevant to the topic of the blog (or sometimes of the thread itself).

I think posting it here would help liven up the forum. Also, experience has taught me that people are less likely to click on links than read something directly. I know it's stupid and makes no sense, but that's what they do.

Regardless of the subject matter of your blog, simply posting a link and saying "Here's my blog! Read and comment on it please!" isn't a good way to get people in. Specifically asking for comments like you are here can be seen as trying a desperate grab at attention rather than really caring about what's being talked about. Were you planning on making a thread like this every time you posted a new review? That would get super annoying really quick.
A much better option would be to write a short paragraph briefly recapping the comic being reviewed and why it's good or bad or weird or whatever and why any of us would be interested in reading the review. Or the reason why you reviewed it. Or something. Not anything too long or complex, just something to let us know what we're in for before we click the link.
Alternatively, you could've also posted this in your Disney Comics Websites thread instead of making a new one.
None of this is against the actual review, which I'll read once I find the time to. I want to read the actual story on it's own first since I have the issue it came from.

I suppose I understand. I'll follow this advice in the future. Though again, though I see how it has been misunderstood, this wasn't meant as spamming/attention-grabbing but as a honest attempt at starting a Disney comics-related discussion.
jumbojr, though I can see how one could have something against Alvardo or Kay Wright, I do think Tony Strobl was a very decent artist. I certainly wouldn't put him on the same rank as the othet two.
I'd recommend when doing these articles you make an introductory paragraph, and then if you post them here, quote said paragraph, giving your post a bit more of meat and making it clearer you want a discussion to happen.
I read your review. What do you mean by ''give it a go'' at the end? Supposing i decide to ''give it a go'', how could i have access to a random story somebody reviewed?

Oh, Western stories. You're so bizarre. I could swear this was written by Vic Lockman, but then they all read like they were written by Vic Lockman. It's funny in all the wrong places. Oh, and Pete Alvarado is a terrible artist at this stage (his 50s work is much better).
