The French Disney duck/mouse comics I liked best turned out to be translated from Italian originals. I read French fluently and would like to know what's worth reading in French—stories that have never appeared in English. I'd order bound volumes from Amazon.fr. Any recommendations?
France is in the process of publishing a complete chronological library of Romano Scarpa's works, with 14 volumes available at present. Should be right up your alley.

Thanks, but were his strips published first in French? I thought he was Italian. I'm looking for strips originally written in French and published in France.

Ah, that wasn't at all clear from your first post--I also thought you were looking for more Italian stories published in French but not in English. I'll suggest a few of my personal favorites among the stories created by French authors and published in France.
But there are hardly any great French Disney comics. The recent Disney by Glénat series is noteworty and about half of them have not been published in the US yet: inducks.org/publication.php?c=fr%2FDBG
These may not at all be stories you'll particularly like, but they are stories of French origin which I particularly enjoy.
Fantôme à tous les étages Mickey detecting a fake ghost, but then there's a real one....I love the ending!
Minnie à travers les profondeurs This is part of a series featuring the travels of Mickey and Eega Beeva, but I particularly like this story which brings Eurasia and Minnie to Atlantis while Mickey and Eega are flying around in outer space. You can find this series and others on this list of subseries of French origin.
Le soda se boit sec This is the first story of a *long* series of Clarabelle stories, most written by Corteggiani; the first dozen or so were French publications (later stories in the series were Italian publications), and the first several are well rated on INDUCKS. This is my favorite Clarabelle story, period.

Apologies, I misunderstood the question. As caballero and Matilda say, there's not all that many really amazing Disney comics created in French. One series of comics I have fond memories of, though, is the James Ding series by (primarily) Philippe Gasc, featuring Goofy as a fanboy of a James Bond pastiche, and the mishaps that occur when he goes cosplaying in public.
