Well this was unexpected. Marvel’s publishing a one-shot written by Jason Aaron (Southern Bastards, Thor, The Avengers, Action Comics) and with art from Paolo Mottura, Lorenzo D’Ippolito, Vitale Mangoatordi and others.
"As far as I'm concerned, there's no disputing the fact that Uncle Scrooge is one of the absolute greatest characters in the history of comics. And I don't just mean comics that feature talking animals. I mean all comics ever, bar none," Aaron shared. "Uncle Scrooge's rich, action-packed history includes some of the most exciting adventure comics ever created, by legendary creators like Carl Barks and Don Rosa. It's one of the most mind-staggering thrills of my career to get to craft this epic cosmic adventure for the World's Richest Duck, one that looks to honor the character's legendary history while taking him to some wild, new, unexplored places in the way that only Marvel can deliver."
An Uncle Scrooge cover by ALEX ROSS?? Wow. Who could have predicted this! The design and silly color scheme of the money bin on the other cover is disappointing though.
I’m interested in seeing this, but I can’t help but wish it was more than just a one-shot, and that David Gerstein and his group were involved somehow.
Disney Comics: Around the World in One Hundred Years: Deluxe Edition (Disney Originals) Hardcover – October 8, 2024
This could be the recent Target book being released by Fantagraphics. From the info I have, the Target book is 256 pages and this book will be 328 pages.

I have been in hype since when I first read this news yesterday. I don't know what to expect, but I am happy this will ever exist. Regular original American Duck comics production has been missing for something like 30 years (Let's pretend that Darkwing Duck reboot and his spin-off don't exist), with very few exceptions and I can't wait to see what some non-Ducky author would come up with. I am a little less happy reading the names of the artists involved, but we will see.

Oh, well, this is another great news! Living in Italy, it isn't easy for me to get my hands on the Target exclusive, but this will sure be reachable. Aaaand, 72 more pages! What could it be in them? I loved the original selection, as I think it showcases greatly the different interpretations of these characters through decades and countries, and I am mad curious about this new edition!
At least the anniversary book is getting a wide release. I’m a bit peeved that this new edition has more pages. If I had known they were going to release an expanded edition, I wouldn’t have bothered with the Target edition.

And this new edition will have a slipcase, too! For the same price as the Target edition.
An intriguing prospect, but the fact that it's a multi-verse story dampens my interest, since I've started to get pretty tired of those. I love to see the Italian (is it used in other countries too?) design of the money bin on one of the covers though. It's not the original, but I have grown quite fond of it.
Btw, had this Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime been written by someone who really knows Disney comics, this multiverse angle could have been done in a way that’s more appealing to Disney comic fans. For example it could have been about the Barks/Rosa Duck universe vs the Italian Duck universe vs the Ducktales Duck universe.

But then no matter what, fans of each faction would complain they shortchanged them to make the others look good.
