I've heard that there was also a Trump parody in the original Ducktales. Donald Trumpcard was his name, I think. I've never seen that episode, however, and I can't remember for sure where I got the info from.
Well, put in Duck Tales + Donald Trump on Google and this pop-out :
I don't remember which episode this was or the character, beyond being Scrooge's generic buissnes parntern so I asume it's more of a in-name only parody... same as Rockerduck/Rockefeller.
I do wonder when Rockerduck first appeear he was seen as more of Rockefeller spoof or did similarities ended with the name + the fact he was oil related. Come to think of it, the new Duck Tales Rockerduck feels more like refrence to actual Rockefeller seing how he is dress as an Oil Baron, but I guess they where looking for way to make him distiquish and interesting.

As someone who's read it: it's not actually very good. It's this pedestrian little thing where cynical Plump insists to Scrooge's face that he owes all his success to the Dime, Scrooge pontificates wearily on how Plump doesn't understand the value of hard work, and after some not-too-entertaining hijinks, Scrooge is proven right.
She's been on the moon that whole time, yet no one found her? That makes zero sense. It also makes no sense that Selene wouldn't know where she is, unless she's a secret villain like I've seen some theories suggest.
No matter what I say or do, know that Jesus loves you.
I don't see the problem with the voice. Paget Brewster is a good actor, she manages to hit all the emotional beats, and she has a good sense of comic timing. Given that she essentially had to carry the entire episode alone here, I think she performed admirably, really adding a lot of emotion and personality to Della. (I know I once said that I wanted Russi Taylor to do the voice, but frankly... Russi Taylor was so perfect as the young Donald that I don't begrudge the show at all to have gone with a different voice for Della.)
So, what about the episode itself? I liked it! It wasn't the best episode ever, but it worked.
We already had a decent idea of Della's personality from her minor appearances, and to some extent her roles in the Ducktales comics, but now we actually get a full twenty-two minute episode that focus almost exclusively on her, and we get a lot more about her.... and we can say without doubt that this is definitely Dewey's mother we're dealing with. Though, perhaps since Della hasn't been hogging the spotlight for a full season, she isn't as tiresome as Dewey can sometimes get.

Yes! So! That episode! …The bulk of it is supposed to happen after the The Shadow War cliffhanger, I assume? That's not very clearly explained. On the one hand, she wouldn't be living in the shelter anymore after this story. On the other, she's still carrying around her weird imagined sketch of Huey, Dewey and Louie, with no signs that she's seen them on TV — heck, we haven't seen her pick up TV waves from Earth at all. (EDIT: Angones on Tumblr provides much-needed confirmation that this takes place prior to The Shadow War.)
It is laughably obvious with Penumbra that Angones really, really wishes he were still writing Lord Dominator from Wander Over Yonder. Down to ‘Penny’ boasting about her "dominance". And, I mean, look at them. But oh well. I actually would be more amused than upset if the show actually brought in Lord Dominator as a crossover character, and I know many DT17 fans on the Tumblr Side of the Fandom agree with me. So I'll allow it. (Funny that we're basically seeing a repeat of Madam Olga just a few days after Joe Torcivia introduced us to that little bit of trivia.)
The design of the ‘Moonmite’ and its baby, I liked quite a bit. Very Nausicaä of the Valley of the Winds, in a good way; you can buy it both as the monster and as the alien but not necessarily evil best. I got a bit confused towards the end about whether there's only the one, or if there's an entire race of Moonmites; 'cause you've got Possibly-Evil Alien Sergeant-guy talking about Moonmites, plural, yet treating Della's placating of the Moonmite as a great final victory. Besides which, if the Moonmite was only aggressive for its youngling's sake, why would the entire species be at war with the Moonlanders? Blah.
As concerns Brewster as Della… it's not that casting Russi Taylor wouldn't have been awesome, because yes, obviously. But I do think she pulls it off quite nicely here, perhaps moreso than with Child-Della. If we were going to have some random person as Della rather than someone we Duckfans would already recognize, she was as good as a choice as any.
For the first 2/3 I was actualy on a fance do I like or hate this episode...
As I mention the entrie set-up with her living so many years on the moon felt to big of a stretch to me (Seriouly, no Neil DeGoose Tyson to spot her with hit telecope?) I guess they sort of adress it with space ship going next to the moon and not seeing her... But I don't know. I would be more down with that it if it was the same time piriot as the oryginal show but this show is so obssesed with "Look! Technology! Modern time!" I'm pretty sure modern astronomers would noticed some strange activitiy on the moon... especialy, since you know, the moon has GIGANTIC MONSTERS now! Heck, if that's the case why did it took this long for Della to notice aliens? Or them to notice her?
BUT OK - I can turn of part of my brain that goes "You, know in real life..." and turn the "Yaaaay! Cartoon logic!" part up to 11.
The first 2/3 I simply didn't found that interesting or strong. There where some moments o humor I found funny (Della trying to grab the earth, get Scrooge atention by making a "$" or the "BEST MOTHER EVER!" lines), the use of the moon theme was nice and I mostly liked Della's personality her, which at moment felt close to Donald...
There where also some very odd moments like the golden tooth thing or Della's mechanical leg.. which to fair I like the more I think about it. I think it's matrue for a kids show to making a character disabled liked that even if it was solve with a SF-twist. Also, you CAN TELL from the first moment you see the monster that it going turn out to be a nice in the end.
And then in the last 1/3 the aliens show up and I was ready to hate this thing (their design felt very un-DuckTalish) but then Della sings that song and I just totally melted... Awwww!!!! She was thinking about her kids all this time. And the lyrics are realy cool and the entire scene cool! And the explanation for aliens and the hidden city was pretty fun idea as well. Now I left wonder are aliens planing something sinister (invasion?)
So I think this episode as a whole was just ok... I think making a "Della one-woman show" was interesting idea.
P.S. When Della get's angry and attacks the monster don't you just wish she would start making Donald-like noises?

Okay, to be fair, having watched the entire episode, Della's voice does seem serviceable, even well-characterized at times. I still maintain that there were several better suited actors who could have been cast (Russi Taylor still topping the list), but in a show where HD&L speak with adult male voices, I guess this is the best that could be hoped for.
Overall, the episode was ... okay. The idea that someone could survive on the moon for ten years is ludicrous, so I won't belabor that point. I did like the personality that they've given Della-17; she has Donald's short temper and Scrooge's arrogant overconfidence. I like that she's flawed, but there's still a bit too much of a Mary Sue-ish element here for my liking; how on earth does she have the technical know-how to construct a cyborg leg, or to fix the rocketship, or to be so versed in hand-to-hand combat? And yes, I wish they could have had her make Duck-like squawking noises and go into a Tasmanian-Devil type whirlwind blur while attacking, like Donald does on this show, but that would have seemed ridiculous with the voice she has.
So we know that Donald and Della are at least 30 years old on this show, and get further confirmation that Scrooge raised them. That latter point makes Della's disappearance and Donald's estrangement with Scrooge all the more poignant (I dislike the idea that Della, like Donald and HD&L, refer to Scrooge by just his first name; seems very disrespectful, but we've discussed that elsewhere on this thread). And yes, props to the show for making Della a cyborg! I did laugh out loud when Della made a dollar sign on the moon to catch Scrooge's attention ... that's a joke that would have worked well in the comics. Della's imitation of Scrooge's Scottish accent was kind of funny, too.
I'm still confused about the timeline. If, as Angones has apparently said, the end of this episode, when Della encounters the Moonlanders, takes place before the ending of "The Shadow War", why do we see her back to the lunar surface at the end of Season 1?
The robot leg thing is a fair point, but I think the episode is pretty explicit in depicting Della as having originally been clueless about how to repair the “Spear”, and had to teach herself over those tedious years alone on the Moon using Gyro's handbook and the J.W.G. (Which, by the way, this episode still otherwise misuses horribly. If there is one detail of the comics universe that the DT17 writer seem to fundamentally not get, it's the Junior Woodchucks' Guidebook.)

One can asume she only got the tech she needed from the aliens and went back to her place to rebuild the spear...
I do wonder - Magica on the show seams to be moon influance, the power of the dime depend on the lunar eclipse. So... Maybe there is another conection between the moon and Magica.
P.S. So any news when we see the next episode?

Motherly intuition, I guess. I meet many women who can just tell if their child will be a boy or a girl as their are pregnant and their usualy right... Or you know, they simply x-ray the eggs.
