Although politely denying the possibility of a dimension-crossing crossover between Legend and DT17, Angones (who has posted a lot of things following yesterday's DuckTales 2017 episode) confirms my suspicion that Disney simply don't have the rights to the Aracuan's song, hence why he had a subtly different one in House of Mouse and yet another one in Legend:
Did he even sing in The House of Mouse? I just remember him running around while a whimsical instrumental tune played.
I did like the replacement tune in Legends. I figured it had to be something like copyrights issues that kept them from using the orignal, but... if you can't have the classic "Ara-cuancuancuancuancuancuancuancuancuanbrava-dia" tune, the new "Tarr-rattatattatattatatta-tah!" is still very catchy.
Acording to FACEBOOK news that appeared on some pages :
Some details unveiled with the “leaker” of Legend of The Three Caballeros” on the DuckTales 2017 Reddit
-The show was originally made for Netflix but you know Disney changed its plans on 2017 - Show will be streamed on Disney+ -Season 2 will be greenlighted if S1 does well on Disney+ -Season 2 will be a Jose centric season -Mostly of the crew has moved to Muppet Babies S2 but they will go back to LO3C if Disney greenlights the show
Know as Maciej Kur, Mr. M., Maik, Maiki, Pan, Pan Miluś and many other names.
Yay, there's hope! Does this mean I have to sign up for Disney+ in order to watch LO3C Season 1 on it, in order to encourage them to make Season 2? Maybe I'll want Disney+ in any case, for all the classic Disney animated movies, the Pixar/Disney movies, the Pixar shorts...can't say I'm too eager for the Marvel Universe. They say from "Captain Marvel" on, those movies will only be available for streaming on Disney+.
If Season 1 does well on Disney+, I wonder whether they'll also consider putting it out on DVD? Streaming is lovely, but I do like to OWN copies of the stuff I really love.
Glad to hear that the original LO3C crew will come back onboard if Season 2 is greenlighted.
From Matt Danner (the show's director)'s Twitter account. Nice to see it confirmed that there's at least a chance that the show will be renewed for another season. Though it all depends on how well it does in "ratings" (or whatever they call viewership on streaming services), I imagine.

Matt Danner's Twitter account is full of interesting stuff, if anyone's interested. For example, he claims that if Disney gives them the go-ahead, they've got six seasons planned out (!). More realistically, he also says that where Season 1 was Donald-centric, the prospective Season 2 is to be José-centric.

Ah, well... Obviously, none of that happened. A pity!
