Yep. That's all there is this month. Proceed to complain about the translation or the fact that there's no William Van Horn or whatever it is you guys like to do.

Ah, "The World of Ideas" was written by a woman I had not heard of: Manuela Marinato. I am amused to see that she is married to Giorgio Pezzin--amused, because some years back I realized that approximately 9 out of 10 of the women creators of Disney comics I know of are married to male creators of Disney comics. Some work with their husbands as a team; others work independently and I wouldn't know the connection without Inducks' bio pages. But it does seem a strikingly large percentage.

I do not know about Pezzin, but in a few cases from the past the wifes may have been "involved" in the job by their husbands. For instance, that could be the case of the wife of Massino Marconi (who was also editorial supervisors on Topolino in the 80's and 90's). I do not know if she ever wrote scripts, but surely she translated (and partially re-dialogued) many Egmont Disney stories published in the 90's in the Italian Mega 2000. The cases of Gilbert and McGreal are similar? Where they already into comics before marrying?
I am happy to say that times are changing, and in most recent cases "Disney comics couples" exist just because people working in the same environment fall in love. That's the case of Radice and Turconi, that probably met when the latter was assigned to draw a script by the former. The same goes for the wife of Artibani, the author of the Witches whose name now I do not remember.

No new William Van Horn, but hey, at least they will release some new Disney comics aimed at 3 year olds!

In general, I don't think Manuela Marinato's comics live up to the incredibly high standard set by Giorgio Pezzin, but they actually worked together on what I consider one of THE absolute high points of Italian Mickey Mouse, heck of Disney comics in general! Hopefully, if "The Sword of Ice" sells well, Fantagraphics will dip into this series next!
World of Ideas was one of my favourite stories as a kid. Good fun.
Supposedly I have it, but I do not remember anything about it... will need to dig it out of my collection. Good inducks rating although perhaps not from one of Cavazzano's best periods.
