Hi! I just saw the post... Yes older issues can be downloaded in these links... I translated the titles of the issues so you could be able to understand them.
Thanks a lot!
I found out that on ISSUU all pages actually are jpg-files shown in the reader, and I wrote a script to download all images and put them together as a pdf-file or cbr-file for my comic book reader. Then I can also run the images through an OCR program to detect the text and then translate it. But all this is a bit of a hassle... Having the pdf-files makes translating it a lot easier!
Hello everyone! Even though I don't think many of you speak French, I wanted to let you know that the Summer issue of Picsou Soirhas finally been released today!
Although I'm glad another of my articles appears in this newest issue, I also feel a little pinch to the heart, because I've just learned that André-Paul Duchâteau,* whom I spoke to while conducting research, has just died. Since my article was written long before the fact, it now feels a little silly to see me congratulating him on his 95th birthday...)
* In the world of French-Belgian comics, this man was a legend.
This issue has interviews with French Disney artists Olivier Fiquet and Patrice Croci, who illustrated the covers of French Disney magazines in the 80s and 90s. I love their work which has been very influential to me. So, it was a honor for me to draw this cover, where I tried my best to emulate their style! Drawing them as an anthro cockatoo/chicken and duck, too! Of course, also starring good old Donald Duck as a painted painter... and the Sleeping Beauty in the Stars, who represents myself as "Orora" on Disney forums!

Hey, Orora! So cool to see you *as we know you* on the cover of Picsou Soir! And I've come to know your love of the 80's/90's French Disney mag covers, so it's also great to see your own homage to that style.

Thank you very much Matilda!! I am very glad to have expressed this love, and showing it to others!

Congratulations, Orora! I'm glad your cover made it into the piece on Picsou Soir! I'm hoping to get a copy of Picsou 553 on eBay.fr, especially for the Korhonen stories. But now there's another thing in it to look forward to! Now, if only someone would offer it for sale on eBay who's willing to ship to the USA....
I too am over the moon that they mentioned me specifically, as well as the "Exquisite Duck!" project (let us hope it'll bring us more contributors, because the roster is growing thing). Here's the full version of the article:

The new issue of Picsou-Soir is (finally) out! Even though most people here can't read French, I still think it's worth announcing a new release, if only for the cover illustrations. This one was done by the talented Mikkel Hagen to accompany my latest article!
Love that cover! Also really appreciate the article it refers to by Alban Leloup, the one on Goldie, Brigitta and Belle. I haven't read it thoroughly yet, because I don't read French as fast as I do English, but I like what I've read. I like how Leloup highlights how Goldie's character is shown to have evolved in Back to the Klondike, and how rare such character evolution is in the Duckworld. I like his attention to Rosa's art when he argues that Goldie, while she says she'll wait for Scrooge, is hardly pining away! And I agree with his comments on Belle's character: her attitude towards money, which is unique to her; her relationship with Annie; her strength in benevolence. When we get the weekly discussions going on this forum, some of those will include a focus on a particular character; when we discuss one of these three characters, we should refer to Leloup's essay!
