I'm quite glad that there's going to be volume featuring Hubbard and Kinney's work - and also that it seems that a 0.0. Duck story is going to be printed in the U.S., for the first time ever!
Will this book be part of the Disney Masters series? Amazon calls it Mickey All-Stars (The Disney Masters Collection), and it's being published by Fantagraphics, but it doesn't seem to be part of the series otherwise. It looks interesting, anyway!

I think Mickey in Miniature from "Disney Comics and Stories" #13 might be Topolino e l’avventura su misura (inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+3286-1). I haven't read the story, but it seems like it definitely could be. If it is, it's really a shame, because it looks very interesting and is definitely the kind of story I'd like to read, but not with a Fresh-and-Modern translation.

Seriously?   This is a series of stories that was finished decades ago, so by writing "second and final", Fantagraphics is informing collectors that they can complete the run of the story with this volume. It's pretty straightforward.

Would you think it was unnerving if a publisher wrote "the third and final chapter" on the back cover of The Return of the King?

"Mickey in Miniature" looks interesting. I haven't been very excited about the content in Disney Comics and Stories lately, but I'm looking forward to this issue.

This is great news! (but expected as the FCBD comic have a Kinney+Hubbard story). And I hope "we begin collecting the Duck tales of Dick Kinney and Al Hubbard" means we'll get more books . In the past I've tried to track down Australian comics with some of those rare Kinney+Hubbard stories, but gave up on that project. So I've been waiting a long time for a book like this!

There are few words for how happy I am both at these news in general, and at the specific nature of this new volume you have cooked up! Keep up the brilliant work! 

And again (you and Mesterius ) this single note out of my several remarks was not ever meant as anything more than a random quip. David, your blurb was perfectly clear in context, I was simply randomly remarking on a potential comedic misinterpretation. I trust, hope and rejoice that there will be more Disney Masters for years to come!

Oh, and as it happens, I believe our very own Reynard/Orora/Gaucelm has a long-held project to create another, fanmade chapter in the Ice Sword saga — so it may not objectively be as "final" as all that, or at least that final might come to require an asterisk! But that's neither here nor there.

• Sounds like we're getting Paperino e il Segreto della 313, which is interesting. It's an interesting story, as one of the few to directly tie into the cartoons, yet also (supposedly; I haven't read it) one of the few stories to hold that Donna Duck really was the same person as Daisy Duck. Also, I appreciate the continuity reference in theory but it feels weird to me to casually mention "the Belchfire Runabout" to refer to the 313, as if that was a commonly-used name for it. Still a very fun name though.

Seeing continuity references is a good thing after reading far too many stories where the scripters don’t even know these things at all, like calling Pflip a “gangerone” instead of a “thnuckle-booh” because they don’t bother to look these things up (yes, I’m not letting that one go).

I find it a little fascinating how often you bring up fanfics. I mean, theoretically, a hundred different fans could do their own follow-up chapters to the Ice Sword saga... just as anyone can do follow-up fan fiction to The Lord of the Rings. But the official story still ended decades ago.

It's strictly Daisy. The backdrop is that Donald and Daisy have jobs as stand-ins at a Mexican production company and the "events" of Don Donald happen on their downtime.
