Yeah, but it can't hold a candle to DuckTales '17's version of young Donald! Just ask Frank Angones!
Aw c'mon. That was a one-time thing, and it was specifically about Young Donald Duck, and most of us concluded that as a matter of fact Angones was right in that Young Donald Duck wasn't actually good at all.
It's Young Donald Duck. The first parts were recently published over here. The Dutch like to do their own covers.
Are you saying that Club Donald Duck is the same thing as Young Donald Duck, but with a different cover? That would be odd; Scroogerello posted a link to a video promoting Club Donald Duck, and all of the art reflects the Club Donald Duck cover. Nothing like what appears in the video is in the pages of Young Donald Duck. That would be false advertising... and really confusing.
No, it’s not the same thing as Young Donald; as I mentioned earlier, it has a different writer and artist than the Young Donald series. Also, it’s a regular written children’s book, not a comic.

Okay, so apart from Donald I guess we have Mickey, Goofy, and a DuckTales '17-inspired Della (Minnie and Daisy appear in other images). Who's the character with a fishbowl on his head? Fethry, maybe? And how about the chicken with a bucket on his head ... a new character?

The art is cute, I have to admit.
Her name is Karel. She's the new character in the newest book series.

That's an odd choice for a name. We've already got a Karel -- Horace Horsecollar!
Odd indeed. My guess would be that Young Donald Duck was never published for the French market, so when publishing Club Donald Duck, they had nothing stopping them from calling it Young Donald instead. It's all very confusing.
At least they seem to have gotten Goofy's personality a bit more right. Judging from the images, he's not a computer programmer, creating his own AI in Club Donald Duck - that's for sure!

Maybe the opposite happened in Holland. This pocket is filled with Young Donald Duck stories, but they have the Club Donald Duck logo.
Somebody got confused, and I'm pretty sure it's not just me.
I reacted to Jay Fosgitt on Facebook saying his fanbase grows "across the big pond" from me and how Club Donald Duck book series "wants to be positive and skyrocketed if found success". We gained traction in its European release. The German and Norwegian editions of Young Donald reading book are unknown at the time.
While I love Jay Fosgitt’s art, this really feels like an entirely different character than the Donald Duck we all know and love. What is Disney doing?

From the promotional video I just watched, I'd say what they're doing is taking a page from The Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Also, time for new thread, maybe?

I mean, him being right doesn't correlate with the fact you keep having the director of the show throwing other media under the bus. It's moreso another point in a line of points of his attitude towards duck media.
