Hey folks! I think this was briefly discussed on another thread, though I don't remember which, but I wanted to make a thread dedicated to the topic in hopes of finding more information and allowing for a more thorough discussion without said discussion being off-topic or derailing another thread. Anyways, what I'd like to discuss is a Brazilian series of stories released in the early 1980's. Starring Ludwig von Drake, this series told the life stories of three different Disney characters: Goofy in "Pateta em Esta É A Sua Vida", Fethry Duck in "Peninha, Esta É A Sua Vida", and Gyro Gearloose in "Pardal, Esta É A Sua Vida". As far as I can tell, Esta É A Suea Vida translates to "This Is Your Life", and all three stories are biographies for the titular characters.
I have not had the fortune of reading all of these stories. There's an unofficial scanlation of the Gyro Gearloose biography floating around that I was able to catch a glimpse of, but that's it. Sadly, these stories haven't been published in English, which I find disappointing. I am very interested in the content of the stories though. Has anyone here read them? If so, can you tell me about it? Are there any interesting details about the characters' lives in these stories? Also, does anyone know what the inspiration for the stories were? Really, any information about these stories is much appreciated! Also, are the stories good, in your opinion? If you've read them, what your thoughts on them? Are they good "biographies" for the characters?

"Peninha, Esta É A Sua Vida" is a fun story, but definitively is not one of the best brazilian stories i've read. You might enjoy it, but i think it's unlikely you would want to read it again
It starts with professor Ludwig breaking the 4th wall, talking to the readers that he is expecting a visit, when Fethry arrives. Ludwig convinces Fethry to tell the readers about his life, since it's his birthday, so we are shown some events that happened with him
- Fethry breaks his own egg
- He is shown attending school with Donald, Gladstone, Gus and Daisy. Ludwig, and Ludwig is their teacher. When the kids are answering a history test, while Ludwig is distracted, Donald asks Fethry about who was the Marquis of Pombal (an 18th-century portuguese statesman), and Fethry gives a wrong answer. Donald sends the wrong answer to all the other students, and they get low grades
- Fethry's parents, as a kid, hire a babysitter for him. After a couple of events, the babysitter becomes crazy, and wishes to never see Fethry again
- When he was a teen, Fethry had a crush on a girl. In order to look older to impress her, he asks Gyro (at the time Fethry is a teen, Gyro is already an adult scientist) to make him look older. Gyro tries give Fethry a beard, but it goes wrong and Fethry ends covered with hair in all his body, scaring the girl
In the end, Donald, Gladstone, Gus, Daisy, Scrooge and Grandma Duck appear with a cake to wish Fethry a happy birthday
It's been some time since i read the story, so i don't remember too much of it

Thank you so much for this! This is just the kind of stuff I was looking to know! Admittedly, there's nothing particularly unexpected or wild in the story, but I still think it's valuable to know its contents since it is something of a brief outline of Fethry's life and reveals some things one wouldn't know from reading any random comic, e.g., Ludwig was Fethry's teacher, Gyro is older than Fethry while Fethry, Donald, Gladstone, Gus, and Daisy are all about the same age, and so on and so forth. Thanks for the summary!
