So I was working on a completely unrelated project -- trying to come up with an artist alignment chart -- when I realized how hard it was to come up with "evil", bad artists that have left a negative impact on Disney comics. Sure, we'll individually disagree on the specific merits of certain artists, most notably Don Rosa, but hardly anyone would argue that he's been a bad impact on Disney comics as a whole. B-movies have whole fandoms dedicated to bad art and artists, up to your Ed Woods, Tommy Wiseaus and Neil Breens. But Disney comic artists? I think they just get forgotten. I know of another forum that had a more defined hatedom, I don't see bad artists talked about here at all.
Or am I wrong? Are Disney comics you enjoy reading because of their unintentional humor? Any guilty pleasures? I struggle to think of any beyond Mickey Mouse vs. Kat Nipp, and there's got to be better ones than that.
I can't remember the title or where I read it, so I'm incapable of finding it on Inducks, but there's a ridiculously nutty Italian story that goes roughly as follows: Scrooge is plagued by a nightmare about Rockerduck trying to steal all his money, and a doctor advises him to hide all his cash at the bottom of the Mariana Trench to get a sense of relief. However, it turns out the doctor is secretly in league with Rockerduck, so when Scrooge sets off to dump his money into the ocean, Rockerduck and the Beagle Boys show up to kill him and steal everything. Scrooge and the nephews escape, but on their way back in an airplane, Donald accidentally dumps all the money into the sea elsewhere and Scrooge kicks him out of the plane to "pick them back up". Scrooge decides to hide his money on the top of Mt. Everest instead, but after going there he mistakes a scientific expedition for Rockerduck and panics, changing his plans to deposit them on Jupiter instead. But once they reach Jupiter in one of Gyro's space ships he spots a passing satellite and declares Jupiter to be unsafe as well, then starts randomly hammering buttons on the space ship's control panel that end up not only vaporizing all his money, but also activating a time warp that sends everyone back to gold rush era Klondike on Earth. The story then ends with Donald, Gyro and the others shrugging and telling Scrooge he better get started on making his fortune over again, laughing at his misfortune because being permanently stuck in the past is apparently no big deal.
The entire story is absolute bonkers in every way and feels like it was written on drugs, it's amazing.

For us German fans, the indisputable worse story is this one, "climax" of the TAAFKAMM era. I haven't read the story yet (unfortunately), but it has an absolutely legendary status (actually almost kult) and the authors (Macan and especially Xavi) are sad legends.
The Giant Killer Penguins story at least seems to be half-aware of its trashiness. There are several other comics from the same stable that really feel like the writers, artists and editors sincerely felt they were doing something worth creating, printing and reading, and it's just painful.

The one where Mickey gets freeze powers due to a brain from outer space? I think it's a different artist, but it's the same style. Shame it's so close to Ferioli's, he shouldn't be associated with this group!

I think I've said it before that I find Ferioli over-hyped; his artwork feels cold to me and the connection to Gottfredson seems tenuous at best. Egmont did tend to 'save' him for the better plots, though.
The worst stories were mostly drawn by Xavi (penguins), Joaquín (the story you mentioned) and Gonzalez. Xavi and Joaquín had actually done some pretty good work on the "Mickey Mystery" series, so seeing them being instructed to draw less detailed is a bringdown in itself, and Xavi's art started getting really ugly at times, with an especially gross and grotesque Goofy whose face mirrored the senselessness of the plots.

You know, I agree with your assessment of Ferioli. He has real fans, which is something the bulk of Disney artists can't say. But he doesn't make me feel hot or cold personally.
There's something about drawing Goofy that says a lot about the quality of your story. Another fan once pointed out how weird he always holds his arms at a particular angle in Paul Murry comics, and I can't unsee it now. Needless to say, I'm not a Murry man myself.
