atobibas started this channel a while ago and already mentioned it here. Me and a few others have joined the team since then. We're making videos more aimed at a younger target group (hence some of the typical YouTuber "tropes"), but maybe some on here also find it interesting.
This is the first video by our most recent addition... Which is all about Mad Ducktor and his somewhat surprising comeback in an Egmont story.

I like this kind of review and critique of comics, since I don't always see that kind of video except in the case of Carl Barks and Don Rosa's comics commentary.
I agree with most of what the author of the clip says, although I love Mad Doctor (created as a fraud and portrayed as Gyro's evil ego), still his dynamic with Duck Avenger and Gyro should have been done in a better way, and it remains the same like this and it becomes tiring to see the same Mad Doctor plans. I don't know how to explain it to you, but when making a villain or a villainous character, he should have some kind of evil development of his own, and Mad Doctor still doesn't have that.
Although off topic, although I love the PKNA comics, I am disappointed that they have already handled the case with Zoster and Zondag, one of the leaders of the Evronians, considering that they are the ones with the most villainous potential of the entire Evronians group and that they are fighting Duck Avenger and Xadhoom. This way, except in the case with Raider and Organization, there is no point in talking about the fight against Evronians, if there are no main villains. At least the way I see it. Sorry about this, I was just stating my opinion.

Zondag is an odd case since we know Zoster survived the explosion that he was also in (PKNA #15). PaperPedia says that it's him in PKNA #13, but in the German printing he doesn't have a name and looks more like Zargon from PKNA #9. So it looks like Zondag was basically forgotten.
I'm not sure if you're aware of PKNE, but the newer comics have some decent Evronian villains, some new, and some old.
And since this thread exists I might as well use it. We made a new video! Originally supposed to come out on Halloween, but we had some audio complications so we had to postpone it. Here it is: I hope everyone is alright with me using the thread to post about our new video, please just tell me if you are not! Oh and also this one has a cameo from a special guest!

Yay! Spook and Quackers! Definitely on my top ten "Halloween-appropriate Disney comics stories" list! The one you don't include that I would argue for most strongly is Rota's The Nightmare Ship.
Yes to The Seven Ghosts, of course, and to The Old Castle's Secret. Haven't read most of the Mickey stories. It's good to know that your #1 Paperino e il mistero delle ombre vaganti works as a comics story even if you haven't seen "Poltergeist," which I haven't--not a fan of scary movies! But it hasn't been published in English, Dutch or French, so it's unlikely that I'll get to read it.
Solid lists. If we're adding recommendations, I'll toss in one for Horror at Bleake Manor, which has a wonderfully creepy and threatening atmosphere up until the pieces of the mystery start falling together.

That was a fun video.
Are all the PK Danish stories as... crazy as this one? And did they ever explain PK's glove?

Many of them are. In fact, this one is rather tame compared to the ones from around fifteen years ago by Pihl and the Shaws. Those were bonkers, and not in a good way. The ones in the 4-tiered format were generally toned down a bit, but I don't think the glove was ever explained. It was just suddenly there. I still think it looks like them looking at PKNA and liking the idea of a multi-tool/weapon on the Duck Avenger's arm.
By the way: We've got various ideas for future videos bouncing around in our discussions, but if you have a topic that you think we should tackle... go ahead and tell us! We're always grateful for suggestions.

Some suggestions:
- How 3-rows, 4-rows and "no fixed layout" stories (e.g., PKNA) are generally perceived;
- A guide to modern I, D and H stories and authors (this could be a great trilogy of videos);
- A video on the "Forest" universe (Brer Rabbit, Zeke Wolf), how it evolved, the best stories etc.;
- Insights into little-known facts, e.g., the whole Kaschperlmicky debacle;
- This might be a too serious topic, but maybe: Disney comics and the German Wiedervereinigung. Were Disney comics popular in the former DDR? Were there some cultural barriers?

And if you liked that video we have a new blog post by Owen about one story in the video and all the things he didn't say. Enjoy!
