Talking about this on another thread made me try to remember.
There was this one character in, I'm pretty sure, S-Coded stories. He was this little alien thing, green I think, who befriended HDL. Thing is, he ate money. He was a good guy, but obviously Scrooge wasn't fond of him.
I tried drawing him from memory, but I feel this is more the Great Gazoo than anything.
Maybe it was from an Italian story. I never bought the Dutch pocket books, so the only Italian stories I know were those printed in the monthly "Stripgoed" (early 1980s precursor of "Donald Duck Extra"), and only some of those few Italian stories printed in U.S. publications, and a few stray Topolinos I bought over the years, which contained Scarpa Mouse stories. We had a LOT of "S coded" stories printed in the Dutch Weekly. But, I don't remember any in which Huey, Dewey, and Louie befriend a green alien who eats money. Now, come to think of it, it rings a bell in my memory. I think it was a Danish-produced Vicar story.
No, I'm pretty sure it was S-Code- I remember the art feeling more like a Strobl thing than any of the Italian artists. I might be having the colours wrong- as I said, I feel my memories of the Great Gazoo are polluting this, too.
EDIT: Wait! Managed to find him via thinking other characters I remember co-starring in his stories.

It WASN'T printed in The Netherlands! No wonder I didn't remember it. I never had a chance to see it. It looks like an interesting story. It was also never printed in USA. I guess I could read it tomorrow in the Danish Sommer Sjov (Summer Fun 100-page Special giant book).
