I don't remember any detail pointing at his young age. I know that some people online see the fact that Donald talks with Fulton as an evidence for that, but it's rather thin, I think.
Sorry for posting an entire page, but it's relevant here. This page is the only one in Gyro's First Invention that references Gyro's age, or his age in relation to Donald's. As you can see, all we get is Donald saying "[...] back when we were kids [...]". This only indicates that they were close in age during Donald's childhood. There is nothing indicating that Donald would be 11 years older than Gyro. In fact, I've always imagined that Gyro is around 5 years older than Donald.
I don't understand how Donald talking to Fulton would be evidence of anyone's age.

(1) According to his (Gottfredson's) introduction story, the scientists who first examined Eega Beeva medically, estimated his age, and he was billed as "The man from 500 years ago", when displayed as a scientific museum display. So 500 years old, plus or minus 25 years, would be a good estimate. I'd use 525, myself, as he seems to have a little more knowledge and had more experiences than a mere 500 year old guy! (2) Why do you have Donald two years OLDER than Gyro? I'd guess they were the same age, or if NOT, then Gyro would be the elder, because Donald could have remembered him as "the crazy boy who was always making silly, so-called inventions", if he were 2-3 or 4 years older in classes 2-4 years ahead of him in elementary school. In The Netherlandic "Duckstad", they were friends in "basis school". So it is more likely they are the same age. I'm not sure about recent US stories, but I suspect that they were portrayed as being about the same age, in the same school, and Donald knew Gyro. I'm not sure if they were "friends" there, as Donald made fun of him as a zany character.
(3) I guessed that Goofy and Arizona Goof are about the same age. Why do you have Arizona Goof older than Goofy?
(4) Why do you have Gilbert Dawg (Geef, or Goof) only at age 9, but Newton Gearloose older, at 11? To me, Newton looks younger.
(5) Why do you haveWhitewater Duckso young at 25,When Donald is 2 years older, and, more importantly, Whitewater is drawn by Barks to show a "Five O'Clock Shadow' of shaved off whisker stubble?
(6) Why do place Moby Duck so old, at 63? He looks about the same age to me as Donald. If he were very old, he'd be given whiskers, and often elderly Ducks are given long, white beards, as well. Maybe you could make a case for age 40-45. But that's the oldest I'd make him (regardless of how many old "seaman's yarns" he has to tell.
(7) Why do you have Grandma Duck so old, at 98??? Wouldn't early 80s, only a few years older than Scrooge, be old enough? Is it because you think Huey, Dewey, and Louie are her great grandchildren at 11 years old. So, 3 generations earlier, averaging 25 years, would put her at 86 rather than 98. And I'd put Huey, Dewey and louie at 9, so she'd be 84-85.

Robb, I might be able to explain some of these questions, although danoduck, would probably explain it better.
2. Gyro was said to be younger than Donald and Della in the new Ducktales 2017 reboot, so this might explain it, plus he is generally youthful and active, while Donald is a working class duck, raising three of his nephews.
3. Goofy has a son and family in the 1950s cartoons and in Goof Troop, while Arizona doesn't have one, so Goofy could be old enough to get married and have a family.
4. I would say that Newton is probably HDL's age, and Gilbert might be Morty and Ferdie's age, so that might explain why they are a few years apart.
5. Whitewater could be older, yes, although in The Duck family tree, he is the son of Uncle Eider and Lulubelle Loon, and could be explained as being born around when Fethry was born.
6. Don Rosa originally put Moby Duck as Donald's uncle in his family tree sketch, and it has been noted that Moby is an old cousin of Donald, even Grandma calls him an "old sea biscuit". Plus he seems to be a generation removed from Donald, and the others removed one generation from Donald are 60+ years old.
7. According to Don Rosa, Grandma was born in 1855, and in the "present day stories", which take place around 1953, she would be 98. Although, it does make sense for her to be younger, but this is all according to Don Rosa's theories on the birth years of different characters. Also, the three generations, Grandma had Quackmore at 20, and he had Donald and Della at 45, and Della had the boys at 20. But yes, I would age Grandma down a few years, considering she still runs a farm, even doing more work than her grand-nephew, Gus Goose.

Thanks for those explanations. But most of those are derived from fanfiction, and stories created after the early 1970s, and from recent TV animated shows, so I am familiar with NONE of those "sources". Its no wonder I couldn't understand why they differed so much from my ideas. My being a "fan" of Disney comics basically stopped during the 1970s, when I started writing (and drawing) stories. So, despite now knowing those sources, I can't agree with them. But, I'd guess that most fans will disagree with me.

Yes, most of these come after 1993, when Rosa published his family tree. I have asked you about your ideal family tree, so I'm guessing you wouldn't accept Rosa's or Scrooge's parents, or the other newly created characters.

There are a lot of other media, made very recently, which you probably wouldn't accept, here are the most notable:
Scrooge McDuck has a clone/daughter named Webby.
Ludwig Von Drake has three children
Ludwig Von Drake is married to Matilda McDuck, and is a brother-in-law of Scrooge McDuck.

You just read my mind whitewater! For Eega Beeva I've forgotten this thing, I don't know why I think of Grandma of a 98 year old woman, it's just my headcanon based on... something in my head , I put Whitewater younger only because in Don Rosa's tree he's after Fethry, I've always seen Moby Duck as an old duck, in recent Italian stories Newton appears to me a little bit more old than Gilbert and the "mouse-universe" nephews.

I think Pete and Max Goof are older, and Scrooge and Grandma are definitely over 75 years old.
There's quite a few very long-lived characters in the Duckverse. And yet poor Fergus didn't make it to seventy... did losing Downy just break him, you think?
I have an example of that, it is that my great-grandfather (may he rest in peace) when my great-grandmother died, he felt in a horrible depression that they even went days without sleeping, in the end that took his life.
So I think the same thing could have happened to Fergus.
