...but my very favorite Maya Astrup story is Once upon a Sorceress and I do hope that shows up in a Disney Masters Cavazzano volume one day! With a different title, as I believe I've already said on the "best Disney comics of the 21st century not by Don Rosa" thread.
So I just read the Shambor series for the first time (I only read the first chapter before, many years ago), and I definitely think it should be included in a Disney Masters - Ferioli book. These four chapters have only been collected once before, in France ("Mickey - L'épée magique d'Excalidor") and they are well above average for Egmont comics in my opinion. Anyway, my dream Ferioli book would include:
The Shambor Saga (82 pages) Snow Use (24 pages) - probably my favourite Mickey story from my childhood maybe: Stories Untold (23 pages) - a new Scrooge story, have not read it yet Portrait of a Gander (12 pages) - one of the highest rated Ferioli comcis on Inducks, and one of only 2 that were written by him Twice Upon a Time (12 pages) - another one with high rating Mickey's Trailer (8 pages) - the other Disney comic that was written by Ferioli, very nice art! ...and a couple more.
"A Mickey Mystery" and "The Mystery of Freefer Hall" are also very nice, but they were already included in the Gottfredson Library as bonus stories.
One I forgot is this: inducks.org/story.php?c=F+JM+89216 David already wrote here in the past that he would love to reprint it, so it seems likely that it will be included in a Ferioli Disney Masters book.
I wish Fantagraphics went back to the 4 or 5 volumes per year shedule.
I know you will say something in retaliation, but all things considered, they did publish in 2023, 9 Disney books:
2 silly symphonies, 2 Carl Barks, that Hemingway Book, Donald's Happiest Adventures, Scrooge in Glasgow book, Carpi Literature book, and of course that Cavazzano book as well.

Ya' win some ya' lose some.
Yep, Cavazzano and Carpi's books can be seen as unofficial Masters volumes. The two Silly books as well (for Taliaferro).
I'd like to have more Masters volumes too—and we will—but while the Masters are beloved, we've found that the greatest excitement in our market is for our one-shots and specials, which have in some cases taken the place of some Masters volumes on the schedule.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love Disney comics, their history and heritage, and as the guy who launched the Masters, they matter very highly to me. But we at Fanta simultaneously need to do what we've found the market will bear. (...Or duck.)

(…or even mouse. I think I killed that expression now). I have liked the Mickey Mouse Disney Masters volumes a lot, especially the oddball collections like The Ice Sword Saga and The New Adventures of The Phantom Blot. The one-shot books have been a lot of fun, especially the Fantastic Futures book, the Hemingway tribute book and the Les Miserables/War and Peace compilation.
Now that the "Disney Afternoon Adventures" series is ending and the "Silly Simphonies" series won't continue because of Disney censorship, Fantagraphics basically publishes 5 kinds of Disney books:
1. Barks Library 2. Disney Masters 3. Glenat albums 4. Italian parody books 5. Stand alone books that don't fit any of the categories above (such as various anniversary books, Dragonlords, The Lo$ Deluxe Edition, Scarpa's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, etc.)
(Series that ended: Gottfredson Library, Rosa Library, Silly Symphonies, Disney Afternoon Adventures)
So Fantagraphics decided to shift the Italian parody comics from the Disney Masters series to standalone books. Okay, that makes sense. It makes me wonder what other potential Disney Masters books could be published as standalone books instead. Certainly Arild Midthun's Christmas stories. That would make a pretty good standalone Christmas book.
Now that the "Disney Afternoon Adventures" series is ending
Do you have a source for this claim?
It would be strange not having a DuckTales book in the series. And I haven't seen the contents of the delayed Gummi Bears book yet, but it would be a crime to end this series without reprinting the only known Quack Pack story
Question: Have the Donald and Fethry stories by Hubbard and Kinney been all collected in the 2 DM volumes? Will there be a third one?
Here is a list of all stories by Hubbard and Kinney not published in any Disney Masters book. And these are the ones missing featuring Fethry. You can find this using the Advanced search on inducks.
Maybe I am wrong but I very vividly remember reading somewhere that the series would have 4 volumes back when the first one was announced.
I hope that’s not the case. I know the One Saturday Morning was a one-and-done but I’m hoping Disney Afternoon will continue or at least a series reprinting the remaining Marvel and Disney comic lines from the 90’s. A lot of that has never been reprinted.
