There are stories, created by Barks or other creators, where Donald gets attracted to a woman (usually duck formed) and tries to date her. So, what about Daisy? I have three explanations... 1. Those stories take place before Donald met Daisy. The nephews are usually part of the plot in such stories, so maybe we can deduce Donald met Daisy after he took custody of Hewey/Lewey/Dewey. 2. Donald and Daisy were currently on a break. 3. Donald is the typical male. Even though he's in love with his girlfriend, he easily gets carried away by other good looking females.

The Donald-Daisy relationship has never struck me, in animation or in the comics, as as solid or durable as the Mickey-Minnie one. Donald's somewhat flawed personality seems to have made it acceptable for him to have a wandering eye, in a way Mickey has never been allowed to. The panels where Gottfredson's "middle-aged" Mickey is shown ogling attractive women always struck me as out-of-character. Donald and Daisy have both genuinely played the field, whereas any outside dating that Mickey or Minnie have done has been simply to make the other one jealous. Mickey and Minnie are practically married; the same can't really be said about Donald and Daisy.
3. Donald is the typical male. Even though he's in love with his girlfriend, he easily gets carried away by other good looking females.
That's typical for a male?
The wandering eyes and innocent flirting certainly is. Sneak-dating less so, and cheating having sexual relations, even less common, but still reasonably common.

Yes, I was referring to "sneaky-dating" of course, not to "looking and talking to other women". It is not typical at all to try to date other people when you are in a relation, if by typical one means 'common'.
I didn't mean i've got a problem with that. I could tell you a lot about how i view intersexual relationships, if i was allowed to do so at the Lounge. But i had a feeling that, if i opened such discussions, i'd be punished again, like that time i asked about afterlife.
