I recently found out about this story: PK vs DD - Timecrime.
The story says they are both from the same universe, that Double Duck is from the future and that Duck Avenger is from the past.
So, did Donald Duck quit his job as a superhero to be a spy? And how much years would have passed? His nephews still look the same age I think. So could he have all his superhero adventures in a short timespan, then move on to be a spy??
It'd be awesome to me that these2 series are canon to each other since I like both.

More specifically, the stories of DoubleDuck happen in the time-frame between PK2 and PKNE

As he said in PKNE, he suspended super-heroing after the end of PK2 because it was quite stressful, and he was then without most of his supporting cast due the events of the series.
And how much years would have passed?
Unknown.

Time is quite relative in Italian stories. We've seen him having at least 4 different christmas between PKNA, PK2 and DD stories, but, frankly, don't expect time to actually pass.

I know I've read the story, but I don't actually remember anything that happened in it. This, admittedly, tends to be my reaction to DoubleDuck stories in general... maybe it's just my distaste for secret agent stuff, but for me the DoubleDuck stories feel vaguely boring and rather hollow. It took me some time to figure out why, but it was on a different forum I think I worked it out: DoubleDuck feels and reads like Donald's self-insert fanfiction.
The Donald of DoubleDuck looks like the Donald we know and love, and has a vaguely similar personality, but with his flaws surgically removed. He's revealed to really be a super-competent secret agent, except none of his friends and family know. It just reads like the kind of wish-fulfilment power fantasy that I see way too much of in fanfiction.
The PIA stories are a little better; at least there we get Fethry to liven things up a little... but really, if 'm going to choose any stories where Donald works for any sort of secret agency it's definitely the TNT stories -- not only do we still get Fethry, but the TNT agency is just more fun, not to mention more interesting in that the purpose is to fight monsters and demons. Also, while I could not accept the Double Duck or PKNA stories taking place in the "regular" Duck universe, the TNT stories fit in much better... I can much easier see Donald go out and be a TNT agent and still have his regular non-hero life most of the time. The TNT stories allows him to be a hero and have successes without taking away his characteristic bad luck and tendency to screw up.

Interesting opinion, i will create a special topic to see thoighta of other people on PKNA.

Well, I think the PKNA stories work better... Partly because he's not technically being Donald in those stories, he's being the Duck Avenger, who's almost like a separate character -- he feels more like an exploration of a different side of Donald's personality than DoubleDuck does, because the Duck Avenger has been around for much longer and has a more interesting history than DoubleDuck, who's just "Donald is a cool secret agent!" I'll elaborate in the PKNA thread.
Plus, well, the PKNA stories tend to have more engaging plots and a better supporting cast, so I find them a lot more engaging.
The problem with the TimeCrime story is that the only one who hinted at a PKNA/DoubleDuck continuity is Francesco Artibani (in "Agent Zero" and "The Olympic Code" - the latter being my favourite DoubleDuck story). So there are inconsistencies like the absence of most of his friends and family in PKNA compared to DoubleDuck.
Still, it's a good story, but I don't think it quite lives up to its promise.
