My local comic dealer in Germany is not able to get Disney IDW titles anymore. Seems to be the same with others in Germany. According to my comic book guy Disney is limiting sales to the US. I ordered the last issues form a US store, but this makes it more expensive (shipping and customs fees).
I used to buy them from ebay uk and they had everything, redhot comics, a place in space and ace comics, they had most issues of all titles, now I dont buy these anymore but I have checked here and there and they are pretty scarce, its like these shops dont import them anymore or something
Could you get them from online providers in the US like milehighcomics.com or mycomicshop.com?
It’s probably worth it to ask. I deal with both these sites for back issues, and have never had any problems. They both supply new comics as well, though I’m certain there would be shipping costs.
I've seen a few stray issues in a couple shops in Amsterdam. But they're expensive. None of my favourite shops in Den Haag, Delft or Leiden carry them. I haven't seen them in the couple Munich shops I've checked over the past few years. I think I saw some at Fantask, in Copenhagen. They usually carry a fair amount of US publications. But, I haven't looked recently. I can't rule out their being affected by the no direct shipping outside USA, mentioned above. But, if they know they have regular customers, they could still have agents (friends) located in USA, buy issues for them and ship them to the European stores. But, then the prices for them would rise, according to the extra cost.

Yes, I got the last issues from mycomicshop.com. They have a huge collection and I put some older issues of Uncle Scrooge in the order. This made shipping less expensive per item.

You've probably already considered this, but if you just want to read the material and are not a completist, you might consider buying collected versions like the trades or the Timeless Tales hardcovers from Amazon. If you buy them in bulk you save on shipping, and unlike the individual issues they usually remain in stock. I assume you aren't interested in digital comics.
I got the same problem living in Norway. Starting in October last year Diamond Comic Distributors put the Disney comics from IDW on a restricted distribution list meaning European comic shops are unable to order the comics the usual way. My local comic shop have some kind of special American account where they still can do an order, but it's taking a month or more to receive the comics this way. Earlier they usually arrived on Friday the same week as the American release (so two days after). I still get the Disney comics from Joe Books right after the American release, and Donald and Mickey #2 I got within reasonable time too. But the rest of the IDW comics from the last months I'm still waiting for..
Boom! also used to have restricted distribution on Disney comics, and I then used to order them from online comic shops. Shops like myComicshop and Mile High Comics offer subscription services to foreign customers, with regular shipments (weekly, monthly..) But the problem is that shipping cost from USA to Europe is so high that you need at least 10+ comics in a shipment to justify the cost (my opinion). So the subscription services are not really an option unless you subscribe to a lot of different titles.
I hope they will put Disney comics from IDW back on non-restricted distribution again soon, because this is definitely going to hurt the sales.
