Editora Abril, which has been publishing Disney in Brazil since 1950, has lost the license, according to this blog which is one of the biggest on the BR circles and has collaborated with the publisher before (so it's important to reinforce that this is still rumour, just highly credible one). They also mention a "foreign publisher" has already tried to get the license to print Barks comics, though.
As I don't understand much Brazilian Portuguese I ran the image from the tweet through OCR and then google translate. Here is the result if anyone else is interested:
APRIL AND DISNEY ANNOUNCE CHANGE IN ITS PARTNERSHIP Dear subscriber, As you're accustomed to, we're always transparent about your magazine subscription, and this time it's no different. After strategic review of the Abril Group, from June 2018, the Disney Comics, will no longer be published by us. This news has started circulating in some media outlets in the last week, and in respect to the relationship we have with you, we have chosen to formalize it. We are also upset about this and taking all reasonable steps to ensure you do not suffer any kind of loss. In the coming weeks, you will receive a letter with all the details and guidelines. With your understanding, we thank you for your trust and look forward to continuing your important presence among subscribers in April. A big hug, Ricardo Perez Director of Subscriptions
It seems that Disney itself is pretty much responsible for this, and that the same thing might already be looming on the horizon for IDW (hopefully not, but since it happened before...)
I am impressed that Abril intends to re-compensate subscribers for the money they will lose, getting no books for the portion of their subscriptions yet unfilled. I lost money when Gemstone folded. I can't remember if I lost money when Gladstone closed down.
