I'm sure some of y'all have lots of evidence at hand about how tall the Ducks are supposed to be. (I remember a story I recently read that indicated that Donald was three feet tall.) I know they are supposed to be considerably shorter than regular (dog-nosed) people.
But...are other people bothered by how very short they appear to be in Rota's art? I love Rota's art generally. But the Ducks always look too short to me in his art. Scrooge with his hat on is barely half the height of the average dognose human. If he is three feet tall, with his hat on (3.5 feet) he should be more like 2/3rds the height of the average dognose woman, shouldn't he? Rota's Ducks are so short that it seems to me that regular human-sized furniture and cars and utensils wouldn't work for them.

I love when the ducks (and Mickey!) are very short. It is one of my favorite aspects of Rota's art. He has increasingly diminished their height over the years till getting to early Taliaferro-like sizes!
Being smaller than the average individual added a lot of personality to both MM and DD back in the 30's and 40's, even in the early Barks' comics. They lost this peculiarity over the years.
But it is not just about height. Rota's ducks have a ducky posture, tending more to the velociraptor than the man. The totally human posture of the ducks, as in late Barks and most successive artists (Italians in particular), never convinced me much.
Oh yes. I love it but the thing that sorta bothers me is that their butts are so tiny? Makes them look fragile which sometimes if there's lot of physical humor kinda makes me feel a bit bad. I like tiny ducks tho so I appreciate it.
