I've decided to start my Disney Christmas reading with the 1977 edition of Christmas Parade with the Copyright date of 1977.
DONALD DUCK 'Christmas in Duckburg'
I'm not as familiar with this Barks tales as his other Christmas Stories such as 'Letter To Santa, and 'A Christmas for Shacktown.' It's a cute story as another dastardly dude tries to outsmart Scrooge. The gag with the Meese was solid, liked the way Ollie tore up the BB's telegram for bail. 4/5
SCAMP 'The Generous Pup'
Forgettable story ending with Scamp getting a Sausage Wreath as a reward for his good deed. 1/5
L'IL BAD WOLF 'Missing Package Puzzle'
A story I remember from other editions of CP. Big Bad delivers a package thinking Li'l Bad forgot to deliver it, then Zeke had to retrieve said package from Brer Fox and Brer Bear. One of the better LBW stories IMO. 4/5
SEVEN DWARFS 'The Diamond Dust Dilemma'
Wicked Witch freezes Snow White in exchange for a barrel of Diamond Dust from The Dwarfs. 3/5
PLUTO 'Up A Tree'
Pluto is tasked with keeping a cat away fro destroying outside Christmas tree. The panel with bulldog Butch strung up on the Christmas Tree was funny. 3/5
CHIP N' DALE 'Tough Sledding'
Sledding fun with C&D. There's a good recurring gag of Brer Hooty Owl bopping C&D on the head. 4/5
DAISY AND GRANDMA 'The Old Fashioned Way'
GD brings her farm animals inside where they cause a mess. Some nice visual gags here like riding the Christmas tree and the barn Christmas tree at the end. 3/5
DONALD DUCK 'Merry Christmas'
DD enters a singing contest after an injury gives him a pleasant singing voice which we loses at the end of course. The Beagle Boys and good/bad conscience Donald round out this tale. 3/5
MICKEY MOUSE 'The Party Panic'
Pete tries to evict Minnie from her house and ends up blowing up said house as a result f a leaking gas valve gag involving Goofy trying to plug valve with his hat and then zooming. 4/5
LUDWIG VON DRAKE 'Two and One Make Tree'
Goofy and LvD are an interesting pair. LvD had the genius idea to put a tree on a turntable which got out of control. Title refers to the gag at the end involving rescuing the top portion of ruined tree, further ruining it by cleaving it in half and 'restoring' it with a mirror.
