I just finished dubbing "A Christmas in Duckburg" and wanted to share it with you all. Hope you enjoy!!

Merry Christmas, and congratulations on a very good job. Your excellent Alan Young and Clarence Nash imitations continue to impress, and I thought you also did a nice job of imitating Frank Welker and Chuck McCann's Bigtime/Bouncer voices for the two Beagles. Also, out of the various Ducktales Beagle Boy voices, I thought those were the best choices to use for the comic-book Beagles, since their cockiness and toughness meshes well with the comic-book versions of the characters, more so than Welker and McCann's other, more comic or more specialized Beagle voices would. I know some people will quibble with the use of individualized voices for the Beagles at all, but I've always thought that it would be too monotonous to have all the Beagle Boys sound exactly alike in an animated adaptation; even Soccermania, which used visually identical Beagles, gave them differing voices.

On that note, my biggest criticism would be that Donald and the Nephews sounded too much alike; you skillfully imitated Clarence Nash's higher-pitched quacking for the Nephews, but while using the same level of quacking for both Donald and the Nephews worked in the older cartoons, where the characters had less dialogue, I think it doesn't work as well when the characters are talking to each other for extended periods of time. The Russi Taylor voices for the Nephews from Ducktales would have provided more of a contrast and would have worked better in this format, I think, but I would also think that those would be harder to pull off. I know either type of Nephew voice is beyond me; when I used to read comics to my younger siblings, I managed a mediocre Donald voice, but couldn't manage Nash or Taylor's Nephew voices; I just went with a generic, non-quacky, higher-pitched "kid" voice.

You did a good job of making Jolly Ollie sound both pompous and smart-alecky, and I liked the Christmas music in the background; it was the audio equivalent of the little visual Christmas decorations that always pop up in Barks-drawn Christmas stories. All in all, an excellent job, and a nice treat for Christmas viewing/listening. Keep up the good work; I'd love to see you do more longer Barks stories.

Speaking of which, the "main" Beagle's voice in Soccermania is my personal favorite voice for the comic-Beagles.

Good job Justin, all in all. A LOT of work done well. I just have a couple complaints that personally, would have made it better fore me, but are probably not essential to most listeners: (1) Scrooge and Ollie Eiderduck should have, at least a little "duck" quacking sound in their speech (a pet peeve of mine that would be difficult to achieve along with voicing the Scots Brogue, and is not likely shared by most listeners); (2) The Canadian characters do NOT sound at all like Western Canadians (but rather, like American (Western, - but not Northwestern hicks). That makes it somewhat non-realistic to me. Most life-long US residents probably wouldn't notice that subtle difference. I admit that the lack of key words that accentuate that subtle speech difference made it difficult to achieve the authentic sound. But, anyone who has lived in Western (or Northwestern) Canada for a prolonged period would notice that difference right away; (3) I'd have liked the 2 Beagle Boys, when pretending to be "Pierre and Alphonse" (2 Metis or generic western French Canadiens), sounded partly like cliche Parisian French speakers, and partly like non-French speakers. I assume that The Beagle Boys are ignorant bumblers, so their bumbling failure to produce a convincing French accent is funnier (and thus "better"). But, personally, I'd rather have had them sound like Western French Canadians (who sound different from Quebecois, and sound VERY different from European (Continental) French speakers. I realise that this would be mainly an in "joke" just for Canadians. But, I'd like to have had it in there, anyway. It would add local flavour to the story; and, finally (4), I'd have liked BOTH Beagle Boys in Canada, and all others in the story, to have the 1930s-'40s US film cliché Brooklyn illiterate "thug" accents (rather than just one of the 2 in Canada). They could have each been voiced by a different person, providing different pitches and tones to differentiate them. But, they all are uneducated, and come from the same slum areas of Duckburg (probably founded originally by thugs from the seedy parts of 1880s New York).
