First if anyone can come up with a better name for this thread I will be thankfull. <br> I came acros a story at INDUCKS with a large number of characters and while that came on my mind I wondered if there are some of the type that is recommended by the publicum here. I know the ''Mythos'' story and one featuring apples by Jippes I think? But are there more good ones? these were the ones I just found at INDUCKS 80 jaar , 60 jaar weekblad
An obvious candidate which is available in English is "The Search for the Zodiac Stone: An Epic Yarn of Mice and Ducks!" I read this story in a Norwegian paperback publication years ago and honestly didn't find it that great... but it certainly has a large cast of classic characters, both good guys and villains. And for what it's worth, the founder of the Norwegian Disney comics forum Andeby Online, Olaf Solstrand, gave the English hardcover edition a glowing review on Amazon. Your mileage may vary, I guess is what I'm saying.
There is also "Paperolimpiadi" (1988), a 250-page story by Romano Scarpa. It emphasizes the duck universe more, but Mickey and Ellroy get in on the action as well. I personally enjoyed this a bit more than "Zodiac Stone", but that's probably because I've been a Scarpa fan for many years (and I believe I was also a bit younger when I first read it). It is VERY far from Scarpa's greatest work, to be honest.
Also there is a story from a series called "Pippo on line" where Goofy tells a story about a squirrel caught in his attic, and in the end the comic is filled with virtually any character from the Mouse universe you care to mention (and then some more), and Casty's sticker adventure produced for Mickey's 90th birthday that also includes pretty much every relevant Mouse universe character.
"Scrooge's Last Adventure" has a lot of Duck universe characters.
There's also this Daan Jippes-story with basically everyone from Big Bad Wolf to Bucky Bug and many characters from feature films like Peter Pan, Dumbo etc.

Yeah, that's the story made for the 40th anniversary of the Dutch Donald Duck weekly. Kind of a nice touch that they used it for the 70th anniversary of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories in the States.
You disagree on my opinions of both "Zodiac Stone" and "Paperolimpiadi"? Could you elaborate?
Well, I love both Not really much more to say, I guess...
Huh, I guess not then. But do you really find "Paperolimpiadi" to be on the level of Scarpa's classic golden age? I enjoy the story, but it's very episodic and kind of all over the map (figuratively and literally). When it comes to long epics by Scarpa, I think the Mickey and Goofy story "Pippo e i parastinchi di Olympia" (1972) is much better. That one is a masterpiece in my eyes.
There is also "Topolino e la sfida del 2000" (I TL 2000-F1), in the final appear dozens of Disney characters not mentioned by induck, but the plot is very poor.

I confess I haven't read that one in ages, and I remember very little about it. But yeah, I think "Paperolimpiadi" is very good because of the way it ties the various threads together - the only useless one being the desert episode. And hey, the story of those two Korean kids separated by the border, I mean wow.
A lot of German readers love this one - it was voted into the five-part Fan-Edition and printed across the five books!
