I've been collecting Goldie stories I haven't seen: found After the Ball and The Good Old Days in German comics I could order from eBay.de. A new one by Panaro, ZP e il ricordo di un giorno, features Goldie, Scrooge, Soapy Slick and Dickie, which intrigues me. Have any of you read it? Could you tell me about it? I'd love to see a summary of the plot. I probably won't be able to buy a copy unless it gets published in Germany or France, because the shipping costs from Italy are so high. But I'd like to know what happens in the story. Then I'll know how motivated I should be to keep a lookout for an affordable copy.
"ZP e il ricordo di un giorno" it's a nice story, but not exceptional, it tells only a few episodes that happened during "The Argonaut Of White Agony Creek" in a personal key of the author.
Addendum: I have now read McGreals/Rota's The Good Old Days, and I enjoyed it greatly. (No rating on INDUCKS yet...one of these years, when I'm working fewer jobs, I must start recording my own ratings on INDUCKS!) I liked the story, and it was great to see a Goldie story drawn by Rota. I loved Rota's art for Jensen's What Goes Around, but in general I don't like the stories where it's all a dream or hypnotic illusion. With the exception of Solstrand's When Magica Won. Not sure *why* that's an exception, but it is. And I do re-read Rota's Sentimental Energy despite the disappointing "it was all a dream" aspect, mostly because I love, love, love the art--the modernistic Christmas tree/spaceship.
