BTW -> Shame that moon people got used to living on earth. I had this joke in my head, that...
Penumbra - That's it! I'm so sick of everyone questioning that Moon is a planet! I propose we find much more repsecteble home! We are moving to Pluto! Huey - Eerrr...
<roll credits>
i laught to hard at that joke, nice one buddy but that epsiode was really interesting. but one thing though, we see general lunaris ship infront of the moon, witch leads me to think that he will return someday. and one other thing i noticed, penumbras rank insignia is lieutenant not a captain any morebut why though

On the aunt thing, I think it's a reminiscent trait from Magica's influence on Lena. She probably spent the years between Lena's creation and the meeting with Webby gaslighting her into obedience, and trying to convince her that she was the only family she'd ever have, but couldn't bring to let Lena call her mother so "aunt" was enough. And Lena's insistence in calling her that makes sense considering that scenario; it shows that she still carries signs from Magica's emotional abuse on her and can't help but still address her as her aunt rather than just Magica.
Oh, and no details of F.O.W.L plan yet, though sending Blot to wipe out all magic in Duckburg does sound like a consistent part of the bigger scheme.
This is my thoughts too. and they really makes sense to, but, do we know Lenas age? to me, she is like 14 or even 15 years old. and might been "alive" for like 5 years.

I think I've read somewhere she's a year older than Webby. You may want to check Frank's Tumblr.

The Shadow War is very clear on the timeline there — Magica was defeated by Scrooge and trapped in the Number One Dime fifteen years prior to the events of that episode. And she created Lena (fully grown, although presumably it took time for her personality to mature) on that very same day. Ergo, Lena at the end of Season 1 was fifteen years old.
It's anyone's guess, however, what physical age she is meant to appear. I do indeed get the vibe of a 14-year-old from her, and famously, the earliest promotional material involving her dubbed her “Well-Travelled Teen Lena”. So that's something.

Yeah, Sam King confirmed on Twitter today that this is what it's supposed to mean but Disney executives objected to it being made more explicit. So that's a thing.
Interesting. One would asume after Violets dad's that they would be tad more opened to this stuff rather then making it ambigous like that.
To be fair, they probably think each time they address a new example is another risked move, and getting a recurring character out is more bold than introducing a minor couple that doesn't directly interfere in the plot and has no lines. They probably had a hard time introducing Violet's family too.
So about this episode: I may not have much to say overall, but it was pretty good. The A-plot was a lot of fun, and I think anyone who had to live in a distant place and had a hard time adjusting there can relate to her situation, grumpy though she is. And when I saw the flashback where her date with Launchpad goes wrong, I was a little letdown, because I wanted to see more payoff for that moment from Moonvasion. But what they did after that was even better, because it's totally in-character for LP to get insecure after he fails to make someone happy and is afraid said person actually hates him now. Then it turns out that Penumbra doesn't hate him at all, which is very sweet, considering that she seemed to hate everything on Earth at that point. And it was nice to see them get in good terms; I wonder, is their dismantling Penumbra's ship together a metaphor for the fact the Launchpad/Penumbra ship ending? It's a little surprising that the Moonlanders were allowed to stay on Earth and adjusted to it so well; shouldn't there be some resentment after they participated in the invasion, and interfering on the Earth rotation, cuasing who knows how many catastrophes around the globe? We know it was all General Lunaris' fault, but it's not like everyone on the city would buy it. The only time a sign of anti-moonlander sentiment was explored was when Glomgold tried to frame Penumbra and even then, the reaction wasn't as strong as I'd expect. Or maybe the Moonlanders were oblivious to notice when they were subject of bigotry and distrust, like Gibbous was oblivious to Glomgold's villainy. Speaking of which, their interactions were priceless: looks like Flinty finally found someone he can form a mutual bond with, which makes perfect sense the more I think about it: Gibbous can't realize when Glomgold is being downright villainous, and Glomgold being a narcissist, he can't bring himself to reject someone who inconditionally admires him, just what he wanted all his life. I was expecting a moment Gibbous would get desillusioned with Glomgold and abandon him, leaving him yelling in anger, but you know what? Now I wanna see more of these two.

Ok, I am back on Duck Tales (woo-ooo!). If I remember correctly I was reviewing season 2 episode by episode last year, before interrupting. Now, I won't do the same, as I assume that most users are interested in discussing the current season (three). Just some quick thoughts on what I saw.
S02. Episode 17. What Ever Happened to Donald Duck?! I liked this episode. Great use of Jones, subverting expectations of the comics connoisseurs. It was an appropriate use for a character that, otherwise, I suspect could have only be used in his original form (comedic opponent of Donald) in some kind of flashback, as some kind of past Donald's neighbour.
S02.Episode 18. Happy Birthday, Doofus Drake! Oh no, this I cannot stand. This is the kind of episodes most far away from my tastes. The comedy build around the extreme absurd unpleasant characterisation of Doofus Drake does not work on me. Just no no. I hope someone likes it.
S02.Episode 19. A nightmare on Killmotor Hill! This was a well written episode. Unfortunately the stories were magic abounds - and here we are in extreme territories, from that perspective - are not up my alley. Anyhow, it appeared for a few seconds only, but I already like Phooey more than Dewey.
S02.Episode 20. The Golden Armory of Cornelius Coot! I like the story behind Cornelius Coot's victory against the invaders. And this episode is a Webby centric episode with a Della side story, so I could not be more happy.
S02. Episode 21. Timephoone! You must give credit to Angones's team for having done a great job in constructive a whole episode around one of the weirdest and most asinine ideas that appeared in the old show, bubba the Caveman. And finally Della is stepping up her mum game, putting the greedy green one in its place. Now I am waiting for her to scold the worst triplet, Bluey the annoying brat.
- Not a fan of Louie making fun of Huey like that... makes me dislike the character for the entire episode. Well, at least it's a refrence to the fact they all look alike
- Scrooge was fun making that dance in his sceleton costume and Him being into tricker treating make's oddly sence (Free candy after all) and I like that they mention his childhood
- One of the kids mention "Rockerduck estate" as a location (which was previewsly seen on a promotion map)
- So Della hating Launchpad is a reacurring thing? Another reason for me to dislike her... at the same time this episode perhaps my favoirte use of the character in a long time.
- Great voice acting on Launchpad when he tells his tale. His subplot is pretty funny idea. Nice to see more of his relationship with Donald even if it wasn't much.
- The doll-guy was pretty creppy
- This episode remind me of "Ducky horror picture show" - which was one of my favorite episodes of oryginal "Duck Tales" as a kid. I sort of like the commentary on the old horror movies vs. new horror movies.
- Was the ending an "Shinning" homage? At least It remind me how that movie ended...
Over an ok episode but nothing that I found that funny or interesting. Launchpad warp logic was perhaps my favorite part as far this story go.
The Mouse universe already has a perfectly good world-conquering mad scientist in Dr. Vultur, and I never have understood why the Blot was shoehorned into that slot instead--unless it's because his design is so striking that everyone assumed he just had to be a megalomaniac supervillain.
Who is Vultur?
EDIT: ah, Vulter! Well, I think he was almost never reused for his aesthetics. He looks specifically as a certain kind of villainous early 20th century TinTin-like bad guy. Not easy to reuse as an enemy of modern day city boy Mickey. In fact, Vulter has reappeared recently in Italy only for the parody of The Ballad of the Salty Sea, a famous Italian graphic novel from 1967 which tells a story of criminal sailors and pirates in the Pacific Ocean in 1915, the setting perfect for Vulter as he is.
Me too, I wish the Blot was used in comics more as a spy and less as a generic genius of crime. However, what I actually miss is his original attitude. His ability to sneak behind people and terrorise them. And the funny fact that he tries to recur to violent means but he himself cannot stand the sight of violence. Those were character elements that could be used and reused infinitely, and possibly refined. (Don't tell me how he was in DT17, I have not seen season 3 yet!)

S02. Episode 22. Glomtales! My greatest criticism of season 01 was that - while I was happy that the series decided to push the coolness and overpowering of Scrooge over 9000 - I did not like that the inverse treatment was reserved to his enemies. All his classical foes - and even the new ones! - portrayed as total imbeciles, with the exception of Magica. Especially the Beagle Boys are the greatest missed opportunity of the series, and much like Glomgold I do not even like their design. I would have much preferred the regular enemies of Scrooge (Beagle boys, Glomgold, Rockerduck, ...) to be each the main big threat of a whole season, like Magica was for S01, while generic new dumb enemies like the moon dude should have been limited to single episodes. Instead, the moon dude with his lame design (but good voice actor) is the big boss of this season. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ In this episode all the enemies team up. But since they are all hyper-dump, the result is obviously even dumber than the mere sum of their dumbness.
S02.Episode 23. The richest duck in the world. This episode was fine. Good closure for Louie's character arc exploring the consequences of his greediness. The focus on Louie in this season was less obnoxious than the focus on Dewey in the first, which is good. (A focus on the red one in the third season?) I like the way they used Bombie. I think there was no hope to see a plot close to the original story (where the zombie is a consequence of Scrooge's amorality). Hard to see them give big moral flaws to this version of Scrooge, other than little family problems. What I don't like is the visual look of Bombie. The original story by Barks came decades before Romero's horror movie that in the late 60's made popular and redesigned the notion of Zombie in popular culture (the brain eating zombies à la Resident Evil). Barks character was closer to the real zombies in Haiti, that were people drugged and buried for apparent death, and then 'coming back' to life in a mentally damaged way. Yes, apparently that was a thing in voodoo African-Caribean culture, because mankind is horrible. It would have been fun to see at least a character design closer to that idea. Instead, big guy with big shoulders, more of a Frankenstein...nah...
S02.Episodes 24 & 25. Moonvasion! Finales of seasons seems to be how I optimistically envisioned the whole series would have been after watching the very first episode (which remains the best to this day). With all the obliged cameo of all secondary characters thankfully relegated to part 1, in part 2 we get the best. Glomgold finally gets the deserved moment of shining. If your enemy has anticipated all your smart moves...let's try with the dumbest! That was a clever plot idea. On a side note, the writers keep hyping up the moment Santa and Scrooge will meet again, and they better deliver! In part 2 we get what we were waiting for, Della and Donald reuniting and Gladstone and Fethry joining the 'extended nephew gang' to save Scrooge. Mickey 'Wilson' Mouse was a great idea, and I honestly hope that by the final season these guys will gain the right to make a real Mickey Mouse episode. I feel they deserve it ... even if my criticism towards the show are sometime harsh, but only because all in all I consider it a good show based on solid ideas, otherwise I would not even care spending my time to write about it. The blot with green eye was a bit puzzling to me (what makes the eyes shine?), but I read here that it comes from the videogame Epic Mickey, so whatever. Let's hope he is not another supernatural character...
I recently rewatched his debut episode and while the character didn't to that much he left me with a positive impression and I did like his voice actor a lot...
I hope they remain good track record with this character.

(Spoilers per usual, but just In case I shall put a reminder)
Huh! I like this one, even if I don't have that much say about it. Nice to see an episode with Scrooge as the focus character and the main story was simple but it had few nice twists.
I was ready to hate HD&L subplot thinking It will be some sitcomish side story but no... it actually tied to the main plot pretty well and was a clever way to plant the clues and added an element of a mystery... even if you can figure out who the villain is and what his true identity is from the first second. Rockerduck almost felt like a red herring so you wouldn't suspect there is one more bad guy in the story to fast.
Still it was a neat surprise of how the Fountain work and I think it was pretty dark idea that it needed a sacrifice to make other people younger. In fact the fate of the villain is as far I recall the first villain death on this show! And what a gruesome way to go! Jeepers! Also if you think to much about it what hie did for years was pretty evil by kids show standards.
Use of Goldie was ok and they sort of redeem her at the end. I like the shows version of Rockerduck and cool that the episode ends with him being young again, so he can return as Duckburg regular opponent to Scrooge and it feels they are setting him up for at least one more episode (it would be nice if they would have him interact with Glomgold or Mark Beaks) Still no hat-eating but I like the running gag about him wanting to fist fight Scrooge and then being easily over powered by him (the part when he punch him had very funny animation but so was Rockerduck "kicking" Scrooge... with Jeeves help that is)
Cool that Pothole McDuck was mentioned. Would love to see him in the future.
