Shame there is no Donald as this episode reminds me of one of my favorite episodes of DuckTales "Spinx for the Memories". Still great to sea more adventures plot ^_^

I thought it was 21 twenty two minute episode plus the Woo-oo pilote plus another 44 minutes special. No?
The absence of Donald is troubling me but there is still much water ahead.
Granted he only appeared in 3 episodes but he has had as much focus as Mrs. Beakley. And more focus than strictly comic relief Launchpad even though Launchpad was more around episode-wise. Plus in every single one of Donald's episodes he has one incredible heroic scene.
That might be only my wishful thinking though because so far the most disappointing thing for me in this reboot is the lack of Donald. He was a guest star in the old show but this series sold him as as a front and center character. New and old fans want him! I mean who doesn't love Donald for crying out loud?

Just seen The Living Mummies of Toth-Ra, and I think we can safely say this is the first of those "original series episodes' remakes" we were promised; while not a direct remake, it borrows quite a few plot elements from Sphinx for the Memories. Either way, pretty gooe episode, though perhaps a tad rushed. And I agree with GeoX's increasing annoyance at how stupid they're making Launchpad. Yes, he's sort-of dumb, but not mentally disabled-level dumb!
Well, that was no "Sphinx for the memory" (which is one of my top favorite DuckTales episode, especialy for how epic and mysteirous the atmosphere was... it was one of those cartoons I remember finding trully scary as a child but cool as well) but it did felt much clouser to a classic DuckTales adventure then any episode so far.
The gruop of people still living like ancient egyptian reminded me of "Sphinx for Memories" but ascpet of them being superstitious and control by a charlatan with a female leader (representative?) and Scrooge helping them to rebel felt more like "The Duck who would be king".
I don't mind Lunchpad in this episode but I didn't found the burrito thing funny. It didn't annoyed me either.
I like the concept of a society living in the Pyramid for thousands of years without knowing the out-side world but it always brings to MANY questions for my adult mind. Plus it's another travel episode where 90% of the action take place in indoors. I so was hoping for more open spaces and (ironicaly) light.
At first I was asume that the plot will be a simple Scooby-Doo Hoax but I think it had a nice twist in the climax with Mummy acutaly comming to life.
NOTE :So... Technicaly they made a puppet out of CORPSES? Um.... That's some Tim Burton stuff!
The guard-guy villain could been develope a tad more.
Interesting how well educated on ancient stuff Webby is (with no "Junior Woodchuck Guidbook" mind you) as well that she is calling Scrooge "Mr. McDuck" - not "Uncle Scrooge" like in the oryginal. Good! You must earn to call him that!
The joke with Scrooge's credit card near the end was pricless ("My Money!") and I like the "Piramid skim" pun.
Overall I found the episode just ok, whichi s a shame as I was just hoping a bit from from the episode, that is all... Good to see some more Scrooge in action, I guess.

Yeah, cut the burrito thing and the episode would have been a lot better, I think. Unlike the 'mole monster' subplot in "Terror", I felt this one was hammered down and harmed the story's more dramatic development.
I thought the episode was decent. Started out kind of meh, but it picked up somewhere around the half-mark, and when Toth-Ra came to life it really got interesting. Probably not among the very best of the series, but good fun all the same!
So the next episode will be released in December 2 and will be called The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest. It's that Huey episode that was supposed to come right after Daytrip of Doom!, giving Huey - my favorite nephew in this incarnation due to his similarity to the triplets collective attributes in the comics - just as much focus as his brothers.
Dewey is the kid star of Woo-Oo, specially the second part, the B plot of The Great Dime Chase! is him setting up the main arc of season 1 and in The Infernal Internship of Mark Beaks! he shares the spotlight with Huey, even though the latter is the true protagonist.
Huey is the main character of the aforementioned episode, working hard only to realize what a fraud Beaks is, and also the star of The Terror of the Terra Firmian!. With The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest! he gets his due alongside Dewey and Louie.
Louie is of course the star of the The Great Dime Chase!'s A plot, shares the spotlight with Donald and Gladstone in The House of The Lucky Gander! and drives most of the intrigue in The Living Mummies of Toth-Ra!
Of course Webby remains - even after Angones established the episodes' original production order - the dominant main character, receiving the spotlight in Daytrip of Doom! and The Beagle Boys Party Massacre! and gaining a central role in The Terror of the Terra Firmian! and The Living Mummies of Toth-Ra!. She also gets vital roles in The Great Dime Chase! and Woo-Oo!. Nevertheless her prominence is not jarring once you considered the intended order and direction.
I'd say the four kids all get the attention they deserve and more.
Now for the adults...
Well, Scrooge - the main character - is appropriately the star of Woo-Oo! and after that receives important roles in The Great Dime Chase!, The House of the Lucky Gander! and specially The Living Mummies of Toth-Ra!. Arguably he is the main character in the B plot of The Infernal Internship of Mark Beaks! but Glomgold is the one who truly gets carried away with their "revenge", making Scrooge the straight man in the billionaire's murderous obsession. I think everyone expects more focus on him in subsequent episodes. I suspect next episode will have him as a mentor to Huey in the same vein he was one for Dewey and Louie in their establishing episodes.
Donald. Oh, Donald, the very reason I was so excited for this new Ducktales to begin with. It's been simultaneously fun as hell but also disappointing. After Woo-Oo where he plays a very central role, the original Duck only appears in two episodes, both of them containing epic rage explosions, relatable struggles and heroic deeds that easily make this incarnation of Donald one of the most likable to ever exist. But we REALLY need to see more of him. I hope he appears in The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest!.
As for Launchpad, the guy still remains solely a source of comic relief with some hidden depths. He deserves more.
Beakley although more balanced than Launchpad gets the least of the 8 main characters but is set up big time in the inevitable reveal of Lena's affiliation.
This is making no sense. They rearranged the order of the episodes to allow Huey's story being released in December, but this story actually happens on the top of a mountain! Of course there will be snow there! There will be snow there all year around! This is a dumb excuse to disrupt the order.

Well you know what else might be up there? The true meaning of Christmas!!!
...On December 2? Hum... Yhe, it fells like silly reasoning to me to. At least when I marathon all episodes in the future, I will watch them all in proper oderder and cotnext.
To be fair there might been some other reason for episode shift, like maybe there where some animation error they wanted to fix or (as sometimes happen) there was some tragic event that had some similarities with the episode and they push it to avoid the "To soon guy!" reaciton.
It also appears they wanted get to Lenna/Magica episodes as soon as possible, propably to hook the viewrs (for which was no reason as we where already hooked with the pilot)

That's more like it if it's about Christmas. I just expected them to have a better reason to explain it. Especially when they appeared to make the decision in the last minute.

Promo for the postponed, much-awaited "Christmas" episode premiering next weekend, which doesn't look like it necessarily has much to do with Christmas but is part of a "25 Days of Christmas" lineup:
