I've been thinking about Fethry's grandmother, who would be the wife of Gumboot Duck. In Waakhond, Donald mentions his grand-aunt Tryntsje Duckma, who gifted him a cuckoo clock heirloom. Maybe she would be a fitting candidate? Donald mentions that she is from "Kwaaksum". I assume this is a pun on a country or a city, but I can't figure out which one. Can anyone help me solve this?
The clock is said to be a "Friese staartklok" (a Frisian tail clock, so from the Dutch province of Friesland in the Northern part of the Netherlands). Several places in that part of the Netherlands end on -sum or -um. The first part "kwaak" simply means "quack". Also the first name of the aunt (Tryntsje) and the ending of her surname (-ma) are relatively common in Friesland.
I was reorganizing my old US comics and I came through this story. Donald starts reading one "Daisy Duck's Diary" (I liked the meta of this) and it is from her childhood, when she was AMJ age, or even younger. So, the whole story is a flashback (there is no turning back to the present) and it's basically Little Red Riding Hood, with the Big Bad Wolf playing the wolf. Well, the reason why I am posting this here is that in the beginning Daisy's mother (unseen) tells her that grandma is ill, so Daisy bakes some cookies and goes to her farm. As you might have wondered, her grandmother is Grandma Duck. It's Grandma Duck in the look (apparently she does not age) and in the name and she refers to Daisy as her "granddaughter".
I don't know what you want to do with this, I would have no problem discarding it as it just seems one of those "in costume" parodies, but the premise explicitly establishes that this story happened to actual Daisy in her youth. Maybe we could stretch it a bit and justify it saying that Donald imagines Daisy's grandmother as Grandma Duck because he does not know the look of her, thus giving her a familiar face in his thoughts?

This is certainly an interesting find - apologies to bother, but do you have any scans of the relevant panels?
In context, I'd imagine that you're right that it's a 'costume story', so we shouldn't consider it to actually be Grandma Duck in question. However, since there is a real framing device, I'd think that this grandma should definitely be composited with one of the others, if nothing else I'd vote for it being the unnamed one from W WDC 111-02 that she gets composited with

I'd rather not put the issue in a scanner since the conditions of my copy are quite precarious already, but I took a few pictures for you. Hope they could help.

Admittedly, upon actually seeing it, it's pretty hard to argue that that's THE Grandma Duck, not just a lookalike... I suppose we could still go that route, and just say that they were remarkably similar - though I'll leave it to mkr, ultimately
Worst comes to worst, we could ignore it, but it definitely feels worth figuring something out

Yes, OF COURSE she was meant to be the one and only Grandma Duck, but it would be weird if Daisy and Donald were first cousins. That's why I suggested that Donald *imagines* her looking like Grandma Duck, while actually being a different "grandma" that he doesn't actually know. This is clearly not the author's intent, but I guess it's fairly reasonable.

Maybe the best option is then indeed a merge. Daisy's paternal grandmother Lily is herself already a merge of various grandmothers, of which one is the grandma from YD 68-04-02 (who can acutally also be seen as a slightly off-model Grandma Duck). It's I think not too far of a stretch to say that the grandma here in W WDCD 33-05 is her as well. Maybe Donald's and Daisy's grandmother just look quite similar and then, especially in Donald's imagination, they look exactly the same.
I wrote out an entire post and it got deleted. To Hell with it, I'll just ask the main question - should we count alternate universe versions of characters as valid inclusions on the tree? The story has the different Scrooges acknowledge each other as family, and it's specified that the Scrooge we follow is the Scrooge of the generally perceived Barks/Rosa 'canon'. I'm in favour, though I have no idea how it would be visually represented.

if we want to add these, should we add the many versions of Phooey from this story inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+3537-2 ? I think the problem of this is that in our tree there are Huey Dewey and Louie but there's no Phooey, how should we consider him? maybe as a brother from an another dimension?

I brought him up in my draft that got deleted
If we do accept the alternate versions from this story, I do believe that Phooey's from that story should be added as well. The way I'd treat it is to have Phooey be treated as an identical clone of one of the boys (Unless there's a way to communicate him being a clone of all three) as per D 97589, and then have the alternate versions of him in I TL 3537-2 be shown as alternate forms of that one.
There's also, off-hand, a Donald story that has his alternate lives.

And we have also an alternative version of Newton Gearloosee from the same story.
I found this inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+2797-2 story where grandma duck refers to a younger duck as aunt, (aunt Pan?(zia Padella)), anyway, she's maybe the aunt of Gus or the other ducks cousins, and also appear a nephew named Ronnie
Jones isn't in our tree, is he? I saw a comic with his sister and nephews/nieces today.
No, which is... honestly very surprising to me. Surely there's a comic out there where these two find out they're related and moan about how they have nothing in common? I'd say it's definitely worth keeping note of them, at least - which comic was this?
