Oh, no, it's not a WAK-up in the way you seem to think. The post here is Robb attempting to quote an older post of mine, that responded to the first concept art, and somehow forgetting to put his own text under the quote.
As for my thoughts on the new art released… Webby seems more youthful than last time, and she does have her bow back, so I'm kinda reassured. Still, they gave her hair for some reason. Is that to make her more different from April, May and June, I wonder?
And the three nephews being separate makes me wonder whether they will once again try giving them different personalities. I hope not.
And I'm still agains the blue-less Donald. As I said before, in DuckTales his hat was white but his shirt was blue, and in the comics his shirt was black with a blue hat. Combining the two like they did here totally removes the blue, which is ridiculous. Blue is Donald's trademark color, and has always been.
I don't like the nephews being different either. Too Quack Pack for me.
But if you look closely at the two pics, you'll see that they're dressed differently too. Huey's wearing a polo shirt, Dewey's shirt has two colors blue, and Louie's just wearing a hoodie.

Not crazy about the nephews' design (too stylized, and as I've said before, HD&L are one character) but look at that Barksian Donald! And the characters have pie-cut eyes ... when's the last time the animated Ducks had pie-cut eyes? And although I see the point of the objection to a blue-less Donald, a black-suited Donald certainly has a comic book-type appeal. Plus, let's not lose sight of the fact that it's fantastic that Donald has been featured in the promotional material at all, black-suited though he may be, so we know he's a main character this time around! So all in all, this reboot might surpass the original DuckTales in Barksian fidelity. The core group would seem to be Scrooge, Donald, Webby and the nephews. I'd be interested in seeing how the Donald-Webby dynamic, something we never saw in the original show, plays out. But Donald at the wheel of a ship and wearing his DuckTales cap... is he going to be a captain? Is his navy connection going to be maintained, and if so, how? Also it's strange that Launchpad, who was such a popular character last time around, hasn't been seen yet. Has Donald done to him what he did to Donald thirty years ago, usurped his role?

Maybe. We have been told that Launchpad would be in the new season, but he might be given a small role. Anyway, William van Horn-penned stories have proven that Donald and Launchpad can cohabit in the same plot without too much problems.

Did Van Horn ever do a story with Donald and Launchpad together? I didn't think so. Van Horn has used Launchpad as a sidekick/associate of Gyro's, and that worked well.
Inducks does not know of a WVH story with both Launchpad and Donald. There are about a dozen such stories by others, though (not counting the stories in which virtually everyone appears).
Looking at a few of the DuckTales episodes again, I think that the series will benefit from a new approach. The original shows aren't bad, but they pale in comparison to many of the original Uncle Scrooge comic books. The DuckTales episodes at their worst play out more like Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning shows than anything by Carl Barks or Romano Scarpa. There are a few that hold up quite well, but far too many that don't. However, I will quickly add that I really don't expect anything approaching the Barks/Rosa/Scarpa level from this new series either. Animation and comics are two different mediums, each requiring their own different approach. Also, expecting a 2017 cartoon to be like a 1987 cartoon just wouldn't attract new viewers, which the new DuckTales will need more than the 80s nostalgia audience to really suceeed. Just my opinion.
