Taschen's Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck books

Looks like we'll get a new 2023 edition of the Mickey book soon.

It is listed with the same page count as the original book, the description say "This edition is derived from the XXL book", but the weight is only half of the original. I'm guessing this will be a reprint with the same content/edit as the original book, just in a smaller size. The 40th edition from 2020 had a couple of chapters removed.

Oh, that's excellent; I'm interested in the original, but the price is far too much for me


I hope you're right about this version having no content removed - I'd love a more affordable version!

Yep, it looks like it will be somewhere between the original version and the 40th anniversary edition both in size and price.

Yep, it looks like it will be somewhere between the original version and the 40th anniversary edition both in size and price.

Do we know if this will contain the content that was cut from the 40th Annieversary Edition?

I'd love to pick it up, but I don't want to find out after that there's content missing

Has there been any update on the Donald book?

I've been watching like a hawk for the listing to go up, but the only one I'm seeing on Amazon is the French version, which supposedly comes out on the 20th of April - there was also a listing online that I found that suggests the book is meant to come out tomorrow, but it has no image provided so I'd have my doubts.

If anyone knows anything about getting the book in English or when it should be coming out, any info is appreciated!

I can only repeat myself: it's coming this spring. No idea whether that means March, April or May.

While it's by no means a confirmation, a few different sites list April 20th as the release date for the Donald book - I searched the ISBN and it comes up on a few different French websites

Hopefully that's accurate! Though I don't know if it's all releases or just the French one that it would apply to...

One of the editors of the book told me around 2 months ago that the book is virtually finished and that it will be published this spring. Just sayin'...

So, sadly, the April 20th release date didn't come to pass. However, I've combed over the websites mentioned and, bizarrely, they actually say April 20th 2022.
Stranger still, this date is even listed on Amazon for the French version of the book. It has no ratings or reviews, so obviously the book has not been released and the information is incorrect.

There's one website which mentions a date of the 10th of May (More specifically, it's a French site that says 10/05/2023 - being French, I'd imagine they're not saying the fifth of October), but given the fact that there's pretty much no information backing this up, it's probably either a placeholder or a mistake. I'd have no problem being wrong on that, though!

It would seem that the book isn't arriving any time soon - I'd like to believe otherwise, but I'd imagine that we'll get some kind of info prior to release, which would make the above date seem even more unlikely.
Does anyone remember how things went with the Mickey book? Was there anything that led up to it or was it just shadow dropped? I know there were announcements and such, but was there a long preorder window or anything?

I was thinking: surely, they will publish this for Disney's 100th anniversary... Then the anniversary came and went. Now I am thinking they will wait until next summer and publish it for Donald's 90th anniversary.
