Another update! This time from the always reliable Catsuka: x.com/catsuka/status/1827722302399954979 (this is just the announcement tweet, but it does link to pre-orders). I'd link a picture of the cover, but it's just too big and I can't make it any smaller. It's a beaut! Still no news from Taschen themselves, but I assume that'll change soon.

I love hearing about bizarre/obscure Disney works - recommendations welcome!
Now that the smaller book has been out for some time, I was wondering if material was omitted for it? For Inducksing purposes. Unlike the Walt Disney Taschen book, both versions are roughly equal in length.
Yes—the smaller book deletes chapters 6 and 10. The page count is similar, but at the small size, material had to be spread over more pages, and a decision was made that 6 in particular, with numerous small grids of storyboards, wouldn't translate very well to the smaller presentation.
(I do love 6, though; so much, with some of the only Barks Mickeys in the book. If I can recommend a favorite edition, it's the larger one!)
There are now 3 versions of the Mickey book. The original version in XXL (which is not available anymore), then one that is described as XL in the Taschen store and a third very small version. Which version is missing chapters 6 and 10? The very small version, or also the XL version?

Only the very small version.
Great. Thank you for the information. At the Moment the XL Version is 50 % off at Taschen sale.
In the end I never bought the Mickey book but I am really thinking about getting the Donald one - the thing is that I am very interested in the comics related sections of the book but buch less so in the chapters that are about the animated shorts. I admire and respect all the research but it's just a topic that never interested me that much.
An XL Version of the Donald book would be an instant buy for me but who knows if and when that will be released. The XXL version might be too big and too expensive for me considering that I am not that interested in a large chunk of the book.
Do you know what XXL Taschen book would be an instant buy for me? One about Disney comics that could combine the comics related sections of the MM and DD books + other info about Disney comics.

The price on the Amazon listing just dropped. Does anyone know the size dimensions of the edition they're selling? I don't think they've added those details to the page yet.
Has the book been pushed back two weeks? I'm now seeing October 10th and November 25th as retail dates.
I've gotten two emails regarding the release date being pushed back, first one pushed it to the 19th and the last one was the 25th. Can only guess as to why, but probably a supply chain issue of some sort.
