Thanks. Interesting ... they've listed one-time characters like George Mallardy and the Temple Guard. And "Baby Dewey" as a main character? No Della?
You're welcome! Could find no still shots though.
Weird isn't it, the thing about baby Dewey? I guess it's just a joke because he is cute. Maybe Dewey remembers something from when he was just a baby that will help them to find out more about their mom. But why main character?
No Della and no Magica. Considering how spoilery both these characters are I guess we can assume they simply hid their cards.

Yes, a certain degree of friendly "trolling" seems built into that list. They probably knew obsessive fans like us would try to micro-dissect everything .
I have a theory that the Buzzard Brothers maybe coneted with Magica or some greater scam and maybe had some reason for wanting Scrooge to eliminate his money bin in "The Great dime chase".
I still think that the "Magical defence" line was foreshadowing. Magica can't get into the Bin to get the dime since it's magic protected, henc the Lena plot...

Frankly, I'm surprised that they played their hand as soon as early did with regards to the Lena/Magica connection ... wouldn't it have been more dramatic and emotionally compelling if they let the friendship between Lena and Webby grow stronger over three or four episodes before the big reveal, and wouldn't it have made Lena's apparent betrayal more heartbreaking (I say apparent because we all know Lena's going to ultimately side with the good guys)? They could have held off on introducing Magica until somewhere in the second season.
Aside from Von Drake and Scrooge's parents I notice "Zeus".. I guess we get an ancient Grecee-themed episode.
I think we've already seen Zeus, actually. Remember the promotional map?
See that guy in a toga sleeping on the cloud in the top-right corner? It isn't just a random bit of fluff, it is Jupiter/Zeus as he appeared in the classic Donald cartoon Trombone Trouble.
Kinda neat of them to reference that old cartoon (on which Carl Barks did extensive storywork, if I'm not mistaken, which might have factored into their decision) if I'm right.
Baby Dewey for some reason is a main character separate from Dewey in present day.
Selene will appear either in flashback or present day.
Maybe "Baby Dewey" isn't actually a younger Dewey, but rather a new character (possibly a pet) whom they nickname Baby Dewey?
And ah, so the Spear of Selene will actually be connected to the goddess Selene, it's not just a name. Interesting. I wonder if she, the aforementioned Zeus and Liu Hai will eventually fit into a coherent pantheon or not. At least we know the River Styx is real and Scrooge's been there.

Hello! My two cents on the last three episodes.
Actually I do not have much to say.
The Mark Beaks episode was nothing special, but in the end it was ok. Anyhow, I do agree with those who say that the plot could have been developed better, possibly involving more directly Scrooge and Glomgold in the main narrative line.
The Living Mummies one honestly annoyed me. The whole idea sounded so much "already heard", not original at all. And the episode was not supported by any particularly original joke. A routine episode, kinda disappointing. Do we really need this? I guess it is something that we must expect from a series willing to put out more than twenty episodes per year. But the point is: if this are the kind of stuff we must expect from episodes in exotic setting...then honestly it's maybe better to bound to the more conventional Duckburg settings...
The Neverest mountain episode was the best of the latest three. Here too, not a very original idea. (Actually the connection to that Simpson episode is so evident that it almost makes me think of an explicit reference.) Nevertheless, the details of the development of the episode were interesting. Scrooge here brights: very good lines, very good jokes. The Santa Claus one killed me.

This bugs me because there's only one McDuck in the picture. Statistically speaking, it should be "Merry Christmas from the Ducks!", but if that sounds too generic, they should have gone with "Merry Christmas from the DuckTales Gang!". Also, not the greatest paste job.

Frank Angones has updated his tumblr blog again with some more Q&A fun, although only one out of the three is actually informative, as usual.
Q: How did the living mummies learn how to speak English, slangs included?
A: How did ducks?
Q: Can you confirm that Flintheart Glomgold is a brony?
A: Spoilers.
Q: I believe we have never seen how Dewey's full name officially is spelled. On various sites there have been "Duford" and "Dewford" but without a scource. Which one is correct? Can't wait for more episodes and very impressed what you have done so far!
A: His full name is Dewford Deuteronomy Duck.
So now we know that 2017!Dewey still has Deuteronomy in his name, except as a middle-name. …And 2017!Glomgold may or may not be fond of cartoon ponies, but that's probably a joke. Maybe. I hope.
