Frank Angones has updated his tumblr blog again with some more Q&A fun, although only one out of the three is actually informative, as usual.
Q: How did the living mummies learn how to speak English, slangs included?
A: How did ducks?
(Screams at screen) "They're not ducks! They're humans who look like ducks because of a filter! They don't really have feathers or beaks, they don't lay eggs, and they can't fly!"
I'm sure Angones knows all that. He's just trolling us, as is his wont. Thankfully, there's been nothing in the series so far that suggests otherwise. (And the poster did have a point about the living mummies.)
BTW, for those who share my belief that all the Duck and Mouse universe characters are really humans, how do you explain the obvious size difference between the Ducks and dognoses like, say, the Beagle Boys, or between Mickey and Pete? Are they really all comparably tall (with no more significant height differences than between two random adult humans), and just look to be of different heights because of the "filter"? I'd like to believe that, but Mickey has often made references in early Gottfredson stories to his being "little" (and thus not able to join the military, for example).

Naturally, Angones is trolling, but I think he's more probably on my side (they are biologically anthropomorphic ducks, but it's as normal in this world as us anthropomorphic apes) than on yours (they're "really" humans but they're drawn as ducks). Note for instance their dedication to make the Beagle Boys (and all other dognoses) look more distinctly dog-like, and bringing back rarely-seen species like parrots and toads. Nothing cut-and-dry, but y'know.

I suspect you're right. A joke about Scrooge or Donald having come from an egg would not be out of place in this show. Quack Pack certainly did it (and this show is more like Quack Pack than the original DuckTales in many ways). It's kind of interesting how Rosa, an avowed proponent of the "Ducks are humans" theory ("If there was a situation where they had to produce a feather to save their life, they couldn't do it"), was nevertheless not above inserting jokes that wouldn't work unless they were ducks (e.g., that hinged on their having web feet or no external ears).
An adult male fan of the My Little Pony franchise. They're the target of many a running joke on the Internet.
Yes, though I think the jokes are pretty stupid. "Hurr hurr he likes a show that's meant for little girls, hurr hurr" and then a lot of implications or outright statements that said adult male fan is opviously a sick pervert because there's no other reason a man could ever like anything that wasn't R-rated and filled with explosions.
I actually like the current My Little Pony show. It's not the best cartoon ever, but it's managed to get to eight seasons and still remain largely well-written and funny. Plenty of more "adult" shows that can't say that much...
...However, it is amusing to think of Flintheart, in between plotting dastardly takeovers and bloody murders, taking twenty minutes off to watch the cartoon and going "Noooo, Fluttershy! Ye just gotta believe in yuirself!"
Also, do not know why, but it sounds like one of those fandoms paradoxically full of homophobic individuals.
Actually... not really. The homophobia tends to come from the people who criticise that fandom. The fandom itself seems pretty lax about homosexuality.

Something of interest: I trust you all remember that woman:
Simply known as the Job Applicant, she keeps cameoing in DuckTales (a sort of nod to the original series' tradition of recurring background characters lik Vacation Van Honk, I suppose?). She has insane amounts of fan-art about her, and she originally gained attention because she looked similar enough to Roxanne (from Goof Troop) that a lot of people this was a cameo by her. In hindsight, it's probably not, but on the other hand, someone just pointed out a much more likely cameo in Daytrip of Doom!:
Same hair, same clothing style. I think I believe it. She appears to be babysitting her little-brother/cousin/son?
Well, he did had a difrent Girlfriend in "Mickey Twitce Upon Christams" where he was much older...
Everything (from "Mona" being just a short, black-haired version of Roxanne to the two sharing a voice actress) points to the writers of Twice Upon a Christmas having wanted to use Roxanne but prevented either by some rights issue, or, more likely, the difficulty of rendering Roxanne's trademark long hair in their… awkward CGI. So I'd like us to all pretend Mona and Roxanne are the same person. Alright?
Between the often needless revisionism and now the lengthy hiatus between episodes, I'm really having a hard time keeping up much enthusiasm for this new DuckTales. Using Glomgold to make fun of Bronies doesn't endear me to this new version, either (even if it is just a joke).

Well, if it's any consolation, the hiatus is for "a couple of VERRRY cool reasons (sic) that (Angones) can't talk about yet."

The problem with that kind of joke is the lack of long-term view. It is a reference to something that will not be understandable in a few years...not to tell in a few decades! They give away a bit of long-standing credibility for just a bit more of cheap connection with nowadays viewers, and actually even a slice of nowadays audience (as shown above, I did not get the reference, and I wish to remind you that I am not a 90 years old woman from Laos without a fast internet connection). Goddamed, even me I know that the first rule for good storytelling is to write as they will see your story in fifty years!
Anyway, I still like the series. I am pretty satisfied, considering my average expectations. The thing is funny, the art is cool, and one out of three episodes is not boring. I also enjoy the 'revisionism', honestly. Don't know you, but I take the money and leave the casino.

Hopefully he was not just talking about 2.14 and Goldie's debut. I don't mind hiatus personally, but I think I'm starting to forget the plot.
